POV: Izzy

Alan looks and notices there are two of us with a look that seems questionable.

He was about to point to the other girl in the crowd when he reached for the mic.

"You two I want you to come up here and talk to me after."

Oh no, I start thinking. He's going to have to choose between us. Maybe I shouldn't I go up. I hate choosing and I don't want him to have to.

When start to walk toward the exit Chad grabs the microphone and says, "I thought we told you girl in the neon green shirt to come up here afterwards."

I turn around because I'm the only one wearing green. Obviously Chad would notice. Why did I have to wear a bright shirt today?

I walk up to the front and Alan looks at both of us. He asks the other girl first, "Ok what is your story about your friend that wants to come?"

"Well, she is in a horrible situation where she just got out of a relationship in which her boyfriend had not been very nice to her. He never hit her, but he would yell and call her names. She loves you guys and you guys' music helped her stand up to the dumb guy. I wanted her to finally get to see her heroes that saved her from the evil villain."

The guys almost look like they are tearing up a bit.

The guys turn to me and Alan looks at me, "Ok your turn."

I just look at them and shake my head. I wanted to leave because that friend sounds like it needs the invite.

Alan whispers something to Caleb and he agrees.

Alan whispers to me, "Come follow me to where you can tell me by ourselves ok?"

I give him a quick look and just nod because I can't saw no to Alan. I really wanted to tell them just not in front of everyone at once.

Alan leads me into a small room. In their it looks very comfy. He leads me to the couch and we sit on opposite sides and he looks at me like 'so what is the story.'

I tell him about Melody and how she is very musically talented. She loves their guys' covers, but never even knew that they written originals. I explain how Melody was always looking down and seems sad. With discovering the covers seemed to bring a little spark back into her eyes, but still look dark. Maybe bringing her here would send a light back into her heart.

"But she told me there was the catch, the only way for her to come was for you guys to invite her yourselves. So I was wondering if you would call her?"

"Let me go talk with the guys because remember what I said?" Almost a little joking was in his voice that he seemed to be holding back.

I look down as I said, "oh right only one spot." I feel a disappointment because both friends of the two of us had completely different stories. They can't both come and if only one does the other one will be left in the dark.

We head back and Alan looks at the rest of the guys. Chad turns to us and says, "You guys can wait back there (points to back of auditorium) and we'll tell you what we decide."

We both turn and look at each other. As we head back we get to talking. I can see that she is hurt. I tell her, "I hope they pick your friend. At least she wants to come."

She whispers to me that she doesn't know why I couldn't explain in front of everybody, but she can understand if it was a little embarrassing it's ok.

I tell her, "It's a long story but I'll tell you sometime."

"Ok"

We forgot to tell each other our names as we are talking. So I tell her that my name is Izzy. Her name she tells me is Merida.

I exclaim, "Ooh like the princess? Shall I call you princess from now on?" I curtsy and she laughs.

"Only if I can call you Princess Izzy." She curtsies back. We laugh at each other. Wow nobody has called me a princess before. I kinda like it.
