Error POV
I lay in my anti void, crying, feeling empty. Emotionless. I hate myself for that. I hate myself for a lot of things. But especially the emptiness I feel when alone.
Come to think of it the only time I don't feel worthless is when Ink visits. She and I were enemies on the battlefield but almost best friends any other time.
Speaking of Ink, I hear a portal open. Only one other person knew of my void. I sat up. Nightmare?
"What the hell are you doing here just moving around!?" He asked.
"...m...moping around." I replied.
He laughed and rolled his eyes.
"Very funny. Get your ass up, we've got places to be." He said.
I opened a portal and pushed him through it.
I heard a familiar and heartwarming giggle. I turned.
"Very mature glitchy." She joked.
"Yeah, Yeah. Shut it squid." I also joked, gently picking her up with my strings.
She laughed playfully. I love that laugh, that smile... I think I love her.
I don't know. Right now I just want to feel something. And I did. I felt happy. Only with her. Only when she was with me.
"Ink I... need to confess something to you..." I told her.
"What is it Error?" She asked kindly.
I looked to the ground. If I tell her, and she rejects me, that'll fuck up our whole relationship. Friends or not.
"Error, are you alright? You're shaking."
I was? Shit. I took a deep breath.
Just go for it. Get it over with.
"I...um...shit. Squid I..I-I-I love you."
She smiled wide. It was even more beautiful and heartwarming than before.
"I love you to glitchy." She replied.
I smiled at her. Was she joking? Was she only saying it because she felt bad? Does... does she actually care? Who could? Who would? I could never be loved.
I should just... stay alone. She wasn't going to let that happen though. I shouldn't have told her. Now she's going to suffer through my depression and anxieties... she doesn't deserve that.
For now...I'm just going to love her.
