As I leave Logan's house, my phone has went off about 60 times.

When I looked at the caller ID's, Aunt May's name came up and Austin's. But what I didn't know was, that there was one text.

I turned into my street and drove to the last house, only to stop shortly after.

Right infront of the house stood Austin with tears in his eyes.

I came to a sudden stop on the curb and jumped out.

"Austin, what's wrong?" I asked in a panicked tone.

"Didn't you get a call from someone?" He asked in confusion.

"Just from you and Aunt May. See? It's just you tw-" I started to speak but stopped shortly after.

There on my notification bar, was a text from a number that I didn't know.

I tapped on it and had to read it 4 times before the realization of it sank in.

To whom it may concern

I am deeply sorry to inform you, that both of your parents, Maxwell and Brianna Monroe, passed away at 16:43 pm on November 2nd 2019.

It was a house fire. We, The Police Department in Cleveland, would like to ask, if you could come and talk about their Will.

Sincerely
Captain Zildjian

I sat down on the curb with confusion and anger and pain.

"Carti, sweetie? Are you okay?" Aunt May's voice came from behind me.

"Why would you lie to me?" I whispered in a soft voice.

"What are you talking about?" She asked with a soft laugh.

"Why did you lie?" I demanded as I got up and turned around to face her.

"What did I lie about?" She asked with a confused look on her face.

"My accident. Austin's accident. The fact that my once upon a time boyfriend is now being bullied by my ex boyfriend. The fact that you lied to me!" I shouted out and watched as her face turned paled and Austin gave me a sad smile.

"How... who told you?" She demanded.

"The only person who had the balls to tell me." I hissed out.

"Ohh. So now you want to tell me that Austin didn't have the balls to tell you?" She shot back.

"No. Austin does have his own reasons on why he didn't tell me. It's about you not telling me. My parents are dead. I have a little brother that is 6 and a sister that is 3, Oh and a 1 year old that thinks I am their mother. Now I have to go in there and tell them they will not be seeing their parents. All thanks to you. You and your greedy need to have a family." I spit out.

"You will not put this just on me. Did this person tell you the whole story?" She asked and came closer to me.

"Both of your parents told me and Ms. Powers to look after their babies. You two were together. Yes. But then Mrs. Powers said that you are a bad influence on him. So we had to keep you two away from each other!" She shouted out.

"WHAT?!" Me and Austin both shouted in sync.

"Shit. I was not supposed to tell you guys that." Aunt May said and started to walk into the house.

"Tell me why my parents never called me. Only sending me texts." I demanded as I followed her.

"I can't tell you that." She stated.

"I have a right to know." I hissed as I grabbed her hand.

"They didn't want to see you anymore. They said that you and your brother and sister are in danger there. Someone tried to take you and them." She shouted out and ran into the house with tears in her eyes.

"You can't just say stuff like that and walk away. Tell me the Whole thing. From the top to the bottom. And I'm sure Austin wants to know too." I demanded her as I slammed her into the door.

"You were a racer. One night you and Austin went to the tracks and drag raced one another. " She started and that confused me.

"No. We were just done at a BBQ and were on our road trip to Detroit." I said and looked at Austin for confirmation.

"You did go to Detroit. The week before. When you came back the two of you decided to go for a little drive. That's when one of Logan's friends came down to Cleveland. You guys made a deal and you and Austin were in one car and Quinn was in the other. In the middle of the race, a turn came and you took it to early and slammed into Quinn's car. He tried to get both cars apart but it only made your car flip and his to catch fire." She spoke with a sad look on her face.

"I must have been knocked out because one minute I was looking at Austin and the next everything was upside down and the smell of gas came in my nose. That's when everything-" I was cut of by Austin's voice.

"That's when everything Logan told you happened. About the flip, the blood, everything." He said and sat on the porch steps.

"Quinn's dad was so mad that he went after the both of you. That's when you two were in a medical induced coma, your parents sent you two here and asked us to look after you. We didn't know you had lost your memory." She said and slumped into the door.

"They just wanted to protect the both of you from harm." She said.

That just made me mad. I let go of her and leaned on the rail.

"Why did they decide to keep us apart?" I hissed out.

"They thought he would tell you about everything." She said and stood next to me.

"Then why did you let us be friends anyway?" I asked in a pained voice.

"After you two got out of the hospital, me and Lana decided to not listen to our sisters. We asked him if he wanted us to tell you everything, but he said it was to early. And the docs said not to overwhelm you." She stated and that made the fountain break.

I started crying.

This is the first time I cried in 5 months.

I cried for the loss of my parents.
I cried for the pain I was put through.
I cried for the pain Austin must have felt when he sow me and Logan together.
I cried about everything that went wrong in my life.
