Why would you say a thought is wilted?
Because it has sat there for so long it's fading.
Because you tried to forget it, depriving it from its oxygen.
Because it scared or hurt you, and you made it sit in the corner too long.But, is a scary, hurtful thought always that bad ?
Or can they bring you a truth, that hurts, but that is still helpful in the long run?
Or maybe they're just bad memories. Things you'd really rather forget, but won't go away?
Are they faded whispers already, or are there still traces from their earlier bloom?
Do they feel like a ghost? A haunting, daunting presence that's always kind of there, refusing to go away, to leave you be?
Do they still hurt or have you become numb to them? Numb because you got used to them popping up, numb because it's been so long already, numb because you refuse to feel it anymore...
Do they visit often?
