Chapter 07

Eddie's point of view

We are making our way to the car I see Richie's mom she's smoking a cigarette the windows were open. It wasn't uncommon Richie's mom was young for a mom she was 28 I think while Richie was 12 she had long black hair glasses ironically skinny but she had a curvy figure to her and she was very fashionable and formal. Right now she had on a black turtleneck dress and a belt from some name brand store she always had a sad face when we saw her yet when Richie was around it was different she was happy. Richie's dad has never been in the picture he left him and his mom when they were 16. None of the other losers clubs knows this maybe Stanley I doubt it.

We tried to open it the sounded frightened "oh" she said relieved to know it was us she then unlocked it and threw her cigar in the street she then asked as we got in, "hey guys how was it?" she sounded eager but then laughing she said, "Richie you have cotton candy on your cheek,". He tried to get it I said laughing, "no dummy right here, " I took it off with my finger he looked embarrassed almost maybe I was bugging Richie never got embarrassed.

Richie said, "where did you put my Gameboy?" to his mom. She handed it to him from the armrest in the middle Stanley was in the shotgun seat "lucky, " said Richie he then not long after started playing super Mario again while I was looking out the window "shit!" he said under his breath I was close so I heard him I looked at him he looked back at me obviously embarrassed he was bright red "um I'm sorry," he said he then fixed his glasses I then said, "it's ok, ".

he was acting timid for some reason "stop acting so weird, " I said in a jokingly manner he looked upset, no dreadful he looked like I said something upsetting like "shut up" he then said, "sorry I just, " he was just so reserved it wasn't him "cat got your tongue?" Stanley said chuckling he reacted like himself surprisingly he said, "you know what Stanley suck my-," he mouthed the rest. I laughed I looked at him he had that look on his face the reserved one. He continued to play his game I felt invisible.

Richie's point of view

Why was I acting like this? I was acting weird right? I was just nervous probably I mean he did especially by saying "stop acting so weird, " I was shocked when he said that yet understood I mean has that much changed about me getting rejected in stopped me at all. When joy rejected me I laughed it off then forgot about it a week later. But now I can't even think about I liked her she had creaked lips was too girly pretty rude, to be honest, I mean at least Bill has a reason to like Beverly he loves her long hair her "badassness" if that's a word he even blushes at her name. I think I like girls maybe just boys or just girls or both.

Maybe I haven't had the person that makes me feel that way. Then there's Eddie I get nervous when he rejects my ideas that's why I bother him more.

Bill first got dropped off then Stanley then it was me and Eddie he was further than them we sat there awkwardly I fixed my glasses then said kinda unexpectedly, "I hope you had a good time, " he said,
"yeah of course even if I spent it with you assface, " my mom then turned left I then remembered Eddie's mom doesn't know about him being here "mom stop the car please!" I say which made her jump she pulled over "what the hell Richard!" she yelled I got kinda scared my mom is chill but I did just tell at her I then explain, "please don't be mad but I lied Eddie's mom is a bitch-" my mom interrupts me by saying, "Richie that's respectful!" I roll my eyes "no offense Eddie, " I say he then rolls his eyes then I continue to talk, "I said that he was at Bill's, " she then asked, "why the hell would you do that?" I then said trying to make her empathize with me but failing briefly, "I don't know I just wanted him to come to hang out with me!" Eddie smiled saying "that's sweet," but then he said in an upset manner, "BUT NOW IM GONNA GET IN SOO GROUNDED!"

I then see Eddie's mom "Eddie?" I ask in the middle of him speaking one sec he says talking to my mom so I put my hands on his cheeks and move his head towards my face

I say "EDDIE!" he replies with "what?" I say in a louder voice, "your mom!" he rolls his eyes "that's not funny rich, " I then said "NO YOUR MOM!" he said madly, "Richie really-" he stopped as he went "ohhhh!" as we see a mad Ms. Kaspbrak standing at the window of the car "fuck, " I spit out by accident Eddie rolls down the window "oohh hi ms. Kaspbrak what's up, " her face was red which meant she was pissed and hell broke loose  "why is my son in your car!?" then my mom said calmly, "I just picked them up from Mrs. Denthoghs house and since I had my car I just decided to drop off all of them, ".

Eddie's point of view

Come here Ed my mom said in her fake nice voice bye eds Richie says then says hey ms.k I like your hair you think the hairstylist could replicate it, " I rolled my eyes.

He smirked yet my mom then opened the door and grabbed my arm muttering "disrespectful children, Jesus" as my mom pulling me Richie was waving slowly he looked embarrassed for me as he drove away.

My mom still holding on to "mommy!" I yell "what Eddie?" as she pulled me getting her keys she started to talk she says honestly, "I don't want you hanging out with that Richie he's a fairy, " I get mad "no!" she gets mad what did you say?" I get timid  "nothing, " she then says,"good that's my sweet boy, now go to sleep, " I go upstairs to change then go to sleep

Morning Eddie's point of view

I then hear a knock on my window I then see Richie he's on a ladder he knocks again I open the window "wanna ride to school together we can stop to get you a doughnut?" I ignore him starting to put my books in my bag I start to close the window he starts to talk "fine fine fine I'll get you a doughnut," "and?" I say pushing it you're pushing it he says then I grinned "come on please?" to start close the window fine I'm sorry Eds I was a fuckface," I start to laugh "good" I say letting him in he gets into my room

"hurry up getting ready, " he says as he sits on my bed but then he gets a pair of underwear from his butt and says,"oh look its Eddie's tidy whitey I grab that from him "what the fuck they are small your mom picked that out?" I then say, "no your sister picked it out, shut the fuck up Richie, "

I get in the shower then get out about 12 minutes later I have my towel over my torso with pants on he then said "what the fuck is this do you have tits now?" I try to walk into the bathroom but he grabs my arm and pulls me onto the bed in a weird position he's on me his hands holding on to mine he then says,"look who blushes easily?" I answered in a ballsy tone, "Because you're on top of me and I just took a hot shower," he then looked nervous but then said something in a completely different tone, "whatever yeah that's why, ".

He gets off me I then noticed his leg scar "need something for that?" I asked he then said "no I'm good and sorry for you know what, now go back in so we can get a doughnut  then go to school," I smile he doesn't smile back I go in to put on my shirt on and fix my hair as I come out he's looking at the ground he looks flustered I clear my throat I say jokingly, "Hey Richie rich let's go," he looks at me and laugh "ok Ed Ed," shut up I say with a little chuckle

We make our way out of the window down the ladder then we get on our bikes as we make it to the bakery when we get there there's a line only like three people that are good. Me and him start to chat look at that guy bet he's gonna fall Nah really

I like talking to him he's funny and then I ordered I got a vanilla doughnut and order, Richie, a strawberry with sprinkles. We get it then go outside and he start to take out his doughnut and he asks, "why'd you get something so plain Ed?" I look at him annoyed, "shouldn't we eat it in the cafeteria?" "Nope" He says then throws a smirk at me. I then say "fine, even if it's a bit messy, " I get my doughnut and grab a tissue he chuckles "what dickwad?" "oh nothing ," I push him playfullly "no tell me!" He chuckles again he then takes something off my face he then shows me then I say "you're so annoying, that's what you were laughing at?" He grinned "no I'm not but you're really cute," he says in an awkwardly cute tone. He always says really bold stuff but sometimes he even gets nervous it's adorable I can't really say that though.
