Damon
My eyes widened to the sight above me in awe. "wow you look-you've changed a lot."
"Were you expecting me too look like a teenager? After its been what... four in half years?" Blake had a point, but had it really been that long? My eyes still stuttered at the man before me, not believing it was Adrien's brother. His skinny arms had turned into biceps and rounded shoulders, his voice got a lot deeper, his face matured and even had facial hair.
"It probably wouldn't be such a shock if you'd actually bother to call, or visit."
He was really laying the guilt on hard, but I guess he had the right to. After all, Adrien hardly kept in touch with him, we've got every post card and picture they've sent plasterd on the fridge and that was the closest thing to visits until now.
"Hi, I'm here I'm sorry." Adrien's eager voice quickly ran to her brother, holding a small brown teddy bear in hand. "Holy fuc-" She cursed shocked by his appearance as much as me until Blake angrily pressed his hand to her mouth. He gave her a disapproving look as his eyes rolled down.
"And you must be Carmen," she crouched down to the little girl, "I'm your Tiá Adrianna. You know you look a lot cuter than the photos your daddy sent me?" She used the teddy bear to tickle her, and the sound of a high pitched giggle filled the air.
It was crazy to see Blake's family. I was happy for him, when Adrien left Blake I didn't know what would happen but I'm glad everything worked out for him. Carmen looked just like him too, and I wondered what it must be like having a kid running around.
"This is Damon." She smiled to the young girl, and her big beaming eyes looked up and met mine. I gave the little girl a blank expression, and suddenly her eyes got smaller.
"Monsta." The words came out of the girls mouth while she clung to Adrien's chest and her tiny finger pointed at me. I pretended to bite her finger and she instantly pulled it back with a scream.
Thats right kid.
Blake introduced us to Veronica his Fiancée, with a big old diamond on her finger and the mother of carmen. I tried my best to appear friendly even she she stared with disapproval.
"You guys visited at the prefect time theres the carnival today. Why don't you give your bags to Damons driver and he'll take them to the house." Adrien said happy that for the first time her family would be staying with us. She had been eager for this day for a while, wanting to make sure everything was perfect for them when they got there.
"You call that a house? I can believe you'd actually think I'd bring my child there, needless Veronica."
Her face changed, "Blake I know what you're thinking, but its safe really. You really think I would suggest that idea if it wasn't?"
"I dont know anymore Adrien," He sighed, "We booked a penthouse tell his driver to take our bags there."
That piece of shit.
Adrien spent hours making the house look nice. She bought a crib for Carmen to sleep in, and books and toys for her to play with. She filled the room that Blake and Veronica would have been staying in, with fresh flowers and even bought stupid throw pillows for their bed because she said the ones already on it weren't good enough. She baked cookies so the house would smell nice when they got there, she had the dinner table set with every fine glass and perfect silverware. I even told men that whenever Adrien's family would go to the house they would have to be gone before they arrived, so they really had nothing to worry about.
"You know-"
She cut me off, "Damon, its fine really." Despite wanting to speak up and say something I knew I shouldn't voice my anger, it would only make things worse. I know Adrien was upset and it killed me that I couldn't do anything about it.
