Ok in this story the reader is deaf, in aware of the headcanon of deaf Bakugou but this is a deaf reader not Bakugou :)

Being hearing impaired is hard. Most people never understood you or didnt even attempt to have a conversation with you.

It was no surprise that when you told your primary school teacher you wanted to be a hero, she laughed to herself and told you it was impossible for someone who cant hear to be a hero.

How would you hear someone calling for help? How would you calm someone down who is panicking; not everyone knows sign language.

(Present day)

You walked through the park, throwing down seeds for the birds near you as you went. You held tightly onto your umbrella, as it had rain that night and was still relatively wet and cloudy.

Looking ahead of the path, you noticed a blonde seemingly yelling at another boy who had a mop of green hair on his head.

You continued forward at your usual pace, watching curiously. The blonde noticed your approach and his smoldering red eyes met yours as he seemed to start yelling something in your direction, making the boy with green hair and freckles freak out and start talking to him.

You merely tilted your head and stopped walking, only a few feet away from them as they conversed with each other, you unable to understand what they were arguing about.

Then the blonde turned back to you and stepped forward, grabbing the collar of your shit and pulling you towards him. Your feet lifted off the ground for a few seconds as you got pulled and your umbrella fell to the floor, a few bird seeds falling from your pocket.

He began speaking to you with that same pissed off face and you just stared at him as his freckled friend freaked out behind him.

Your hands gently clasped around his wrist and he stopped talking to stare down at them, his brow still furrowed.

You barely used any force as you made him release you and then let go of his wrist. The freckled boy had stopped freaking out and blinked in confusion and shock.

You smiled and gestured to your ears before shrugging. The blondes face contorted while the freckled boy seemed to deflate in realization.

The blonde then turned to the freckled boy and angrily spoke to him,  he spoke back and the blonde turned back to you, his brow still furrowed.

The freckled boy stepped towards you and to your surprise and delight, signed.

"Are you deaf?"

"Yes." You smiled happily, it wasn't everyday that you met another person, let alone a hearing person, that could sign to you.

The male smiled shakily, "Sorry about that, I hope he didn't scare you."

You shook your head, "Not at all, most people that meet me are not nice."

"Oh."

"What are your names?"

"My name is Midoriya Izuku or you can call me Deku, and his name is Bakugou Katsuki."

"Nice to meet you, my name is L/n, Y/n."

The whole time the blonde, Bakugou, had been watching the exchange with a scowl and you guessed he didn't understand sign language as he wasn't bothering to join in the conversation and seemed to be getting impatient as you noticed his foot tapping against the ground.

"Sorry to bother you, I will leave if you want." You offered.

"You don't need to leave if you don't want, but we-" He was cut off and his attention diverted as Bakugou distracted him by yelling something at him.

They talk for a bit and you picked up your umbrella and shook the small bit of dirt off of it.

"See you later." Deku signed before running after Bakugou who had already began walking away.

You waved before realizing it was pointless and looking down at your shoes sadly.

"I would've loved to get to know them more. "

.

.

A week later, you were back at the park, this time it was sunny, not a rain cloud in sight as you walked along the familiar path, tossing out bird seeds.

You were enjoying the morning when you looked up to see a familiar face. It was the Bakugou guy you had met a while ago.

Continuing at your normal pace, you approached him. He noticed and turned to you, that same scowl on his face.

You greeted him, first in sign then promptly remembered he didn't know sign and so you waved. He seemed to scoff and pulled out his phone.

At first you thought he was ignoring you until he held it out for you to see. It was on the notepad app and a message had been typed.

"Show me how to speak sign language."

You blinked and looked up at him before smiling and nodding. You gingerly took the phone and typed out a schedule to meet and teach him and made sure it was a good schedule for him before you waved your goodbye and went home.

It was exciting to you to show someone sign and this way you could get to know him better.

"I can't wait! Maybe I can ask him about Midoriya too!"

And so you happily waiting for your next meeting.

Hope you liked this! Up next immma write a demon Bakugou!
