Guilty Hands (Jack Frost)

The next few days have been hell for everyone. Easter and christmas was luckily still far for them to already be in stress of preparing according to bunny.

But days turned to weeks and north being too busy staying by Jack's bedside was now starting to prepare and work hard for that christmas was at least getting closer and unlike bunny his presents didnt make themselves on their own.

Bunny could still have an overview by his stone's of the situation and it wasnt like he was that much needed anyway only in emergencies which have yet to happen.
That's why hes only leaving to merely check on his Warren before returning right back to Jack's side.

,, hey ..." bunny came back inside the room, closing the door behind himself as he sat down besides the bed on the all too familiar chair.

,, so .." he started as he looke Dover Jack's side profile ,, I jus came back from the warren, everything's fine there... "

Hearing no response or seeing not even the slightest movement as always bunny sighed getting up from the chair, he lifted the blanket a little. Looking at the blood soaked bandages.

It's been weeks but jack hadn't shown much progress in healing, it's like he was healing extra slow and it worried bunny as he laid the blanket back over the boy.

Sitting back down to close his eyes for a few moments and recall the horrible night when they had found him.

Later on bunny found himself waking up by the sound of a door shutting all of a sudden.

He flinched a little stirring as he rubbed his eyes inhaling deeply before actually blinking and focusing his vision.

He felt his heart stop its beating as the bed was suddenly empty leaving a mess of the blankets behind and causing him to jump to his feet with stiff ears and wide eyes roaming the room until they stopped by the door which he now recalled hearing as it was what had woken him up.

He ran toward it with a sudden kick of adrenaline as be ropped it open looking across the hall and moving his ear to hear any movements sor footsteps that could belong to jack.

And very well, stumbling footsteps were heard not to far away, wheezed breaths and now and then it sounded like he bumped into a wall or failed to balance himself, dropping to his knees in result.

Bunny was already rushing his way toward the sounds until he stopped once he turned around the corner to see Jack's desperate and paniced aswell as fearful expression as he was ripping on a doorknob from a closed to door.

The guardian of hope needed a minute to figure out how he would approach him. Looking at the boys face it seemed like he was going to cry any minute which made bunny's heart break all the more.

So long he had waited for the dar jack would wake up and know that he was he didnt know what to say.

,, j-Jack?" The boy flinched harshly dropping to the ground, his heart speed up and bunny heard it as he watched with sorrowful eyes as jack crawled backward away from him ... In panic..

,, mate " he repeated getting closer in attempt to calm him like he successfully had when they had found him but It didnt seem to help all too well when jack started to shake staring with wide terrified eyes at him.

,, frostbite come on it's ok... " he attempted once more now getting down slowly to his knees as if he were to approach a terrified animal.

Heavy breaths escaped the winter spirit and bunny's eyes landed on the blood soaking through the bandages. The movements probably havent done the wounds too well.,, jack "

Footsteps appeard from behind bunny making him flinch as he had his paw already stretched out in attempt to place it either on his arm or shoulder and clam the feeightened boy. The steps draw closer bunny turned to see north appeard from around the corner out of breath and shaken up himself,, bunny jacks-!" he stopped talking once he reached the angle where he saw jack behind bunny.

Before anything could be said jack had gotten back to his feet and started running away. Bunny instandly got yp aswell but a harsh wind that blew through the hall obviously from jack had blown both off their feet.

Bunny cursed not waiting and jumping back on his feet again as he jolted after the boy while north equally followed, first having trouble with getting up unlike bunny.

,, jack ! Wait please ! " he rushed after him wondering how the winter spirit could be so fast when he was just skin and bones not to mention injured badly.

As they reached the big room they had finally stopped by the banisters.

Jack turned around out of breath as he got to stand on them making bunny stop in his steps a little out of breath himself aswell as noth behind him.
,, jack " north started raising his hand carefully as he watched the boys feet and legs shake, standing so close to the edge, they knew he couldnt fly without his staff, falling down this height with his injuries wouldnt end well.
,, just take it slow"

,, mate, step down from the banisters... youre gonna hurt yourself " 
Jack looked at bunny as he said those words. ,, you dont have to be scared... no ones gonna hurt you here"

,, y-you're not re-eal .. " he rasped out with teary eyes as he looked at them making north frown in sadness and pain at the sight while bunny clenched is teeth.

,, yes ... yes we are, and we care for you, we waited until you woke up.. we were worried ok so please step down from the banisters.. " he took a step closer making jack shift his stance.

The said boys tears now started to slowly roll down his cheeks as he looked down at his feet ,, bunny w-wouldnt sa-ay that.. "

,, frostbite..." bunny sighed taking another step closer slowly as he realized jack wasnt paying that much attention to it but the boy then looked up and into hunnys eyes making him freeze for more than one reason.

,, he h-hates m-me... he wants t-to see me hurt .. I.. I deserve-"
,, stop !" Bunny couldn't hold himself back as he frowned hard at him in shock
,, that's not true ! None of it ! "

,, j-just make I-it st-topp," he cried out squeezing his eyes as he clutched his head letting more and more tears roll down his cheeks. Before he got down and both bunny and north were taking the opportunity rushing to him to pull him down. Yet he was faster when he leaned back over the edge of the banister, falling off the wrong way.

It was too fast for any of the 2 to even call after it and without thinking bunny had jumped after him less than a second later. He grabbed onto the boy wrapping his arms around him and burying him in himself as he turned his back to the incoming hard ground.

He grunted once he hit it with his back hard enough to make him stay like this for a few more moments taking a few painful breaths as he unwrapped his arms from jack to find the boy not really responding or rather laying limply on him.,, jack " he grunted to have no response.

When he heard a distant calling from north who was probably rushing down the stairs to get to them quickly.

Bunny breath in a few times trying to ignore the pain of his back and rather listen desperately for the boys breathing ir heartbeat to hear his small voice instead saying words that made his blood run cold.
