"Doesn't matter.. I am still mad..!"
Hoseok said crossing his arms and Jimin snorted and rolled his eyes in response. It's been a month, literally one month but Hoseok hasn't let go of it.
"That's why I am inviting you tomorrow... especially you..."
But that didn't seem to convince him at all. So Jimin just smiled and let him be. He knew Hoseok was just pretending but maybe somewhere he was little bit hurt too. Well, Jimin would have been, if his best friend left him out of the invitation in their wedding anniversary. It wasn't Jimin's fault but maybe he should have paid more attention.
"Are you sure Jeon is okay with it..?"
"Why wouldn't he be.. and fyi we are friends now.."
"Were you enemies before..?" Hoseok meant that comment to be funny but by the change in the look of Jimin's face he knew he said something uncomfortable.
"We were more like acquaintances before. But now we talk.. at least we are communicating better when it comes to Soobin. And also other stuff like what to get for dinner and all.."
Hoseok hummed in return because he wasn't sure what was the right thing to say in that situation. But he found his voice few moments later.
"Jiminah.. you know I have been your best friend and you can rely on me.. I really don't know what to say or do in your family matters but if these all becomes too much... I am here for you.. please remember that.."
"I know hyung I know.. but things are better now. I promise.. and I know I can rely on you and that's the reason I am inviting you.. just you to this special dinner.." Jimin said smiling and Hoseok took the clue that it was time to steer away from the topic.
"Huh... only me..? Does me include that cousin of Jungkook's too??"
Now Jimin was baffled. Well when Jimin and Jungkook discussed about inviting Hoseok for dinner at their place, Jungkook suggested that they should include Yoongi too. Jimin had no problem with Yoongi so he said yes. And it was no secret, he just kept it from Hoseok in the time being trying to make him feel special but it failed nonetheless.
"How did you..?" Jimin was confused but something clicked as he saw the culprit walking into the room followed by a trainee.
"I raised a snitch didn't I?"
Hoseok audibly gasped running towards Soobin and crouching near him as he closed his ears shut with his hands, while the toddler just stood there thinking it was some game.
"No.. don't call this pure baby that. But the loyalty was easy to buy. Only two chocolate bars...".
"I don't know why don't you bring him here more often.. he could learn and I can look after him when you are busy.. better than sending him to spend the whole day with strangers..."
Hoseok continued picking him up in his arms and Jimin didn't know how to answer that. How Jimin's in laws or the whole Jeon clan was almost sure that Soobin would present as an alpha and be the next heir of the family and that's why he needed the best education and training and thus was sent to the best daycare in Seoul. Jimin doesn't believe in all that. They don't even know what Soobin would be like or what he would like to do with life and Jimin was never a fan of all these family policies regarding heir and whatnot. It's too much of a burden to be put on his baby's little shoulders. He wanted to have Soobin chose for himself if he wanted to go for the family business or not. But it wasn't easy to uproot traditions that has been going on for so long.
