After what Ion said, hindi na nakapagsalita si Vice pagkatapos non at tahimik na lang na sumusunod sa kanyang coach.
"where do you want to eat?" Ion asked habang pasimpleng sumusulyap rito, kanina pa kasi siya nababakabag dahil hindi siya kinakausap not even saying a single word. "are you okay?" dagdag na tanong pa nito.
Vice just shrugged at nagpatuloy na paglalakad since ang park ay malapit lang sa gym, at tila naiwan naman si Ion dahil sa mabilis na paglakad nito. "hey, i'm asking you. don't be rude." saad ni Ion at hinawakan ang kamay nito.
"sorry coach, may iniisip lang po." Vice simply said at hindi makatingin sa mata ni Ion, at napansin naman ito ng binata. "kung may problema ka, pwede mo naman ako kausapin. I'm here not just as your coach but as a friend also." and he caressed her hand as comfort.
Napatingin naman si Vice sa binata at kita naman sa mga mata nito na sincere siya sa kanyang mga sinasabi, and by that.. she smiled.
"ayan, ngumiti ka na! well miss, you're more beautiful if you're smiling." pabirong saad ni Ion at nag-blush naman ang kausap niya dahil rito. She can't help it.
Hindi lingid ni Ion na siya ang prino-problema nito, Vice wants to say something but she don't know what to say, but one thing for sure, she's relieved. with that simple conversation, she knows that she's in good hands.
"now, where do you want to eat? mcdo, jollibee? what?" tanong naman ni Ion sa kanya. Nagulat naman si Vice dahil sa mga pagpipilian kung saan sila kakain, carbs? is she allowed to those foods?
"I know what you are thinking. yes, you are allowed for today only but still, limited. okay ba tayo don?" and he genuinely smiled. Vice just nodded her head and answered "Jawibee, pwease."
Ion just stared at her for a while and pinched her left cheek. "cute mo naman." and he didn't realized what he did until he heard a little 'ouch'.
"oh, i'm sorry. bad move." at napakamot na lang sa ulo, and Vice? she's blushing like a red tomato. "let's go, time is running." Ion said while smirking.
"iba talaga magpakilig mokong na 'to, kainis." Vice said to herself.
They arrived at the nearest Jollibe store and ordered their favorites, Vice insisted that she'll treat themselves but Ion doesn't want to.
"libre mo na lang ako next time but for now, ako muna magbabayad. okay?" Ion said at wala naman siyang nagawa doon.
Napaisip naman siya "so it means may next time pa?" she murmured.
"you saying something?" nagtatakang tanong ni Ion at napailing naman si Vice bilang sagot.
They got their order and ate but limited. Habang kumakain ay they asked questions to each other and laughed, like they are closest friends.
"bakit ka nga pala pumasok sa pagmomodelo?" Ion said habang pinupunasan niya ang kanyang bibig because of ketchup.
"because I want to, since I'm a kid I'm afraid of standing in front of stage, like hindi ko talaga kaya and I decided to face that fear from walking in runway while people are watching, and I felt so happy and satisfied in my life. and thank God, I faced my fear." She smiled because she's proud of herself.
"ikaw? why gym instructor?" and take a bite on her mango pie, looked at the person in front of her.
"to be honest, I don't know." Ion answered and looked away. Somehow, Vice felt her coach is not comfortable on her question.
"It's okay if you don't tell me naman. I understand, don't worry." and flashed her biggest smile and Ion smiled back. "thank you, I appreciate it."
After 30 mins they were done eating and went outside the fast food restaurant.
"parang nawala na ang totoong agenda natin for today ha, napunta sa kain." Ion laughed.
"ikaw kasi eh, sabi mo kakain ako." and Vice pouted her lips. "bat parang kasalanan ko?" dagdag pa niya.
"hay nako, oo na nga. Jogging is much better if you ate something kesa mahimatay ka sa daan. you get me?" he stated. "Yes." she replied.
"Let's go?" Ion offered his hand and Vice gladly accepted it even if she doesn't know what it's for.
For 1 and 30 mins they jog around the park, hindi naman masyadong pinahirapan ni Ion si Vice throughout the session, habang naguguluhan sa mga gestures ng kanyang coach ay Vice seems enjoying moments right now. First, hindi kasi masungit ang kanyang Coach for today and seems like they are close friends.
"You need water?" tanong ni Ion habang inaabot ang tubig kay Vice na pinaginuman niya na rin. "Okay lang?" she asked shyly.
"Oo naman, eto oh." at inabot naman niya ito, Vice chugged his water right away.
Oh alam niyo na, indirect kiss.
"We should go home dahil pawis na pawis na tayo at makapagpalit.." Ion said and Vice replied. "Yes Coach."
"sad to say, may session tayo mamaya sa gym kasi pambawi sa mga kinain mo kanina na carbs. Is it okay with you?" Ion asked. "Oh, why am I asking that question, I'm the Coach. I should make an order not ask a question." and they both laughed.
"See you later?" Ion asked, again.
"See you later."
She didn't know that he wants to see her longer.
