I was woken up by the sound of my annoying alarm and guess what my ringtone is?
Yes, that is my ringtone.
I turned my alarm off and did my morning routine. After a while, I went downstairs and found my mom making breakfast and my dad is reading a newspaper at the dining table. "Morning mom. Morning dad" I said. "Morning honey" my parents said at the same time. Dang they really are soulmates.
I sat down at the dining table joining my dad. I was scrolling through Instagram and before I knew it, the breakfast was done. I put my phone aside because my mom won't allow anyone play with their phones while eating or they're gonna get the chancla which I want to avoid to happen.
We all started eating and it was silent until my mom broke the silence. "Lorali, we forgot to tell you this but we're moving to New Jersey today" I choked on my toast. My dad patted my back. "I'm- what?!" "Yeah, I got a job there and we found a very nice house which is really close to the school you're gonna go to." My dad said. "Mom, dad, I can't just leave everything here just like that... My school, my friends, everyone!" I said slightly felt heartbroken that I'm gonna leave everyone here. "We know honey, but it's for the best" my mom said. I let out a sigh. "Alright.. so when are we gonna start packing?" "Probably after breakfast" my dad said.
We finished breakfast and started packing all our stuff. After about 3 hours, we're done with the packing. I went upstairs to my room and sat on the bed for the last time. "I'm gonna miss you" I said quietly and chuckled a bit. Damn I'm such a crackhead everytime I come in here. I laughed at myself. I texted my bestfriend Rachel that I was going to move and told her to come over so we can say our goodbyes for the last time.

After about 10 minutes, Rachel arrived at my house. We talked a lot. We even cried. While we were talking, I heard my mom calling me. "Lorali! Let's go hun!" "Alright mom!" Me and Rachel went outside and we hugged for the last time. Tightest hug ever. "Take care of yourself in NJ okay?" She said with tears in her eyes. I don't wanna leave.. "Okay Rachel.. I'll text you when I get there" we hugged again and I went inside the car. The car started moving and I waved goodbye to Rachel.
It was a 3 hours ride. I listened to some music and take a nap. Before I knew it, we arrived at New Jersey. The house was pretty big. My dad took all the luggages out of the trunk. Me and my mom bring all the luggages in. Soon, our moving truck arrived. They took out the boxes. We started unpacking. We just leave the boxes to unpack later since we're a pretty tired. "Lorali, your room is upstairs. We already put in your bed so you don't have to sleep on the floor." My dad said pointing to the stairs behind me. "Alright dad!" I went upstairs and found a door with the letter 'L' stuck on it. I'm guessing it stands for Lorali.
I went inside and I tell you. My jaw dropped. It was 2 times bigger than my old room. There was a big window and the view was- wow. Dang I'm never getting out of this room.
I jumped on the comfy bed and took out my phone from my back pocket. I remembered I promised to text Rachel when I get here.
