After dinner, me and Kairi went upstairs to my bedroom. He opened the door for me and I thanked him. We went inside and started to decide who's sleeping where. "You can take the bed since you're our guest. I'll sleep on the floor," I said. "No. Why would I take the bed? I'll sleep on the floor. I don't mind actually," he said while smiling. I can't help but feel bad for making him sleep on the floor. "No, I'll sleep on the floor," I said. "Ok how about we both sleep on the bed? Fair and square," Kairi said pointing to my bed. "Uhh.. alright fine as long as you don't sleep on the floor," I said before he ruffled my hair making it messy. I gasped. "Kairi!" He laughed at me and helped me adjust my hair back to normal.
We laid down on the bed and went on our phones. Unfortunately, it started raining. There was a thunderstorm. I'm scared of thunder so I cover myself up in my blanket. Kairi looked over at me and laughed. "You look like a burrito," he said while practically dying laughing. I kicked his leg using mine. "Ow! What was that for?," "For making fun of me" I said and rolled my eyes.
The sudden lightning made me jump and suddenly, I felt two arms wrapped around me. It was Kairi. I blushed at his movement but no complaints though. I don't know this feeling but I kinda liked it. I think I fell in love with him.. The way he speaks to me, the way he care for me.. But I don't know if he feels the same because like we just met today. I brushed my thoughts off.
I feel so safe and secure being in his arms. I slowly wrapped my arms around his waist. He played with my hair softly and hummed a slow song which made me feel drowsy. My eyelids started to flatter. Before I knew it, I fell asleep. Deep, deep sleep. At last, we fell asleep in each other's arms.
I woke up and found myself still wrapped in his arms. I smiled a bit. I tried to move but he pulled me in even tight. "Stay a little while" he whined with his raspy morning voice. Gosh it was so attractive. I grabbed my phone that I placed next to my bed and went on Instagram. After a while scrolling through Instagram, Kairi sat up on the bed. His hair was messy and his eyes still closed. I just woke up and that's the highlight of my day. God blessed me. I can't believe I fell in love with my neighbor.
