“I need your history notebook” Susan asked Dj while they were in the hostel.
“Get it from my bag” she told her “the bag is on my bed” she added when Susan was looking for it and didn’t find it.
“Blessing wouldn’t you lend Dj’s government note? I thought you told me you’re yet to complete yours” Susan said.
“Oh that’s true Dj, can I get your government notebook?”
“No you can’t” Dj smiled and shaked her head “how about you ask Tobi for his, you know he always has complete notes” she winked.
“Stop, I shouldn’t have told you”
“Even if you didn’t, we’d know anyways” Susan replied and smiled “after all this while you guys are finally officially together”
“Stop blushing” Dj said and threw a pillow at Blessing “it’s cute but annoying for us the single ladies”
Blessing had told them about her and Tobi. He asked her to be his girlfriend recently and ever since she told Dj and Susan, they always found a way to talk about it.
“Just please lend me the note” she pleaded further and throws the pillow on Dj’s bed.
“Ok, but only because of Tobi”
“Whatever, where’s it?”
“In my bag”
Blessing took the book “besides Dj stop acting so innocent, it’s not like we haven’t been noticing you and Joe” Blessing looked at Susan hoping she would join her.
“That’s true, though I didn’t want to say this, but ever since that night you guys sang together you’ve become pretty close” Susan said and they both looked at Dj suspiciously.
“What’s with you guys and the face you’re giving me?” she shrugged “for real there’s nothing between us, if there is I’ll tell you guys”
“Huh” Blessing rolled her eyes “liar, I’m sure you like him though”
“Just let me be”
“You’re no fun” Susan hissed.
“Joe, Joe” Ayon called.
“Yea, what’s it?”
“What of Dj?”
Joe looked at him in a weird manner and didn’t answer.
“Why are you looking at me like that?”
“Your questions are mostly weird, but goon; I know you have something unreasonable to say”
“Ouch, that hurts” Ayon held his chest in mock hurt “it’s just I haven’t been seeing much of her in school areas this days that’s why I’m asking”
“Oh that! I noticed it too, but what makes you think I’ll know where she is?”
“Well” Ayon and Tunde give him a sassy smile “you being with her more often nowadays”
“You like her don’t you” Tunde came to Joe’s ear and started singing “you like her, you really like her, we caught you this time and don’t you dare lie”
Joe waved him off his ear “ouch, you sound like a frog, promise me you won’t sing in my ears again?”
“If you tell us what’s going on” Ayon started singing in Joe’s right ear while Tunde sings in the left ear.
“Okay guys, cut it” he shouted frustrated.
“So?” they chorused.
“I like her”
“I knew it” Tunde saidjoyfully and turned to Ayon “I’ll be expecting my 25000 naira in my account once we get home.
