He brings up his hand and Amber sees how boney his fingers are. He glances at his hand before putting it against Amber's, the size different would be humorous to her if she wasn't so fascinated.

Amber smiles softly at the sight of their hands being pressed against each other. She looks up at him with the smile still present on her face.

And when she looks up at him, her world goes black.

"Amber!" The guys call out in hopes of Amber hearing them

Daniel had come back to Ash and Zayne after he managed to outrun Amber. It's been 30 minutes since that happened and Amber still hasn't come back.

"She probably just got lost," Daniel says, trying to ease himself and his friends.

"Or she got eaten by a wolf," Ash suggested.

Zayne smacks Ash on the head. "Ow! I'm just saying that it could be a possibility!" Ash says, rubbing his head.

"She didn't get eaten by a wolf. She's fine and is just lost," Zayne glared at Ash.

Daniel stops dead on his tracks. His eyes widened and his breathing get heavy. The other two stop as well and follow Daniel's eyes to see why he had stopped walking all of a sudden. They gasp upon seeing Amber laying unconscious on the ground.

They run as fast as they can to her. Ash is the first one to reach Amber. He drops to his knees and starts checking for a pulse. Daniel and Zayne catch up soon after and immediately start asking questions.

"Calm down, she's alive. She's just unconscious," Ash sighs. The guys let out a breath of relief.

"Do we wake her up now or take her to the village?" Daniel asks, but Ash is already taking matters into his own hands.

"Wake up!" Ash yells in Amber's ear, grabbing her by the shoulders and violently shaking her.

Amber jolts awake and immediately goes into defensive mode, slapping Ash. A bright red handprint slowly begins to show, getting clearer by the second on Ash's pale skin.

"You deserved that," Zayne says, chuckling lightly while Daniel tries to hold in a snicker.

"You little-" Ash starts.

"I don't regret anything," Amber glares. "Also, what happened?"

"That's what we would like to know," Ash says, rubbing his red cheek.

Amber took a moment to remember the events that happened before she passed out. Him… that creature. She knows people will label her as crazy if she said what she saw, so she decides to keep it to herself.

She gets up with the help of Zayne who pulls her up. "Thanks," she sighs, "Let's go back home. I have to buy blueberries for grandma."

"Miss Grandma!" Daniel grinned once hearing her name, his whole face lighting up.

Amber giggled and linked her arm with his as they headed back to the village.

The group head to Amber's home. Amber holds the blueberry basket in her hand, trying her best not to swing the basket too much to prevent the berries from spilling out.

They chat and occasionally tease each other until they make it to the average-sized house. Amber is the first one to step in, Daniel pushing right pass her and rushing to Miss Grandma's room. She chuckles at his actions while they walk further into the house.

Once in the room, they find Daniel kneeling down next to Miss Grandma who's laying on her bed. His eyes sparkle like the ones of a kid as they get told a fairytale.

Miss Grandma looks up from smiling warmingly at Daniel and offers a welcoming smile to them. Ash and Zayne race next to Daniel on the floor, greeting Miss Grandma excitedly. Miss Grandma is considered everyone's grandmother in the village, which is why she's so loved and cared for - especially by the younger generation. Amber smiles and sets the blueberry basket on Miss Grandma's nightstand.

"Thank you, my dear," Miss Grandma kisses Amber's cheek as a thank you for the blueberries. "Boys, help me get up please."

The guys carefully help Miss Grandma sit up on her bed, then stand up. Ash grabs the blueberry basket while Zayne holds Miss Grandma's hand and Daniel wraps an arm around her for support. Amber quickly walks to the kitchen to prepare the area for her grandmother to bake the delicious blueberry cake.

Soon after Amber is done, they arrive at the kitchen with Miss Grandma insisting she can walk on her own.

"We know you can, but we want to make sure you don't hurt yourself," Zayne explains with a soft smile.

"I'm so cared for," She laughs, causing everyone to smile at the heartwarming sound of her laughter.

"Yes you are," Amber's cheek rise up, making her eyes form into crescents.

Miss Grandma smiles back. "You four go do something fun while I bake the cake. Don't cause any trouble, though."

"Cake?!" The guy's eyes light up instantly, mouths watering at the thought of freshly-baked cake.

"Yes, now go. I'll call you all when it's done," Miss Grandma dismisses them with a wave of her hand.

The group nods and heads to the front door. "Be careful, Miss Grandma!" They call out.

"Of course I will." And with that, they disappear behind the now closed door.

"What are we going to do while we wait?" Amber asks, looking at her friends with her head titled to the side.

"Tag, you're it!" Daniel pokes Ash before beginning to run away.

"You're so immature," Ash rolls his eyes.

Daniel stops running, frowning as his gaze drops to his feet. Ash looks at Zayne mischievously, "Tag, you're it!" He pokes Zayne's shoulder.

Daniel smiles widely while Zayne whines. They all start running away from Zayne, laughing at his upset expression.

"I hate you all!" Zayne chases them down with murder in his eyes.

Amber searches for somewhere she can hide herself to prevent getting tagged. She felt giddy, as if she has gone back to being a child playing with her goofy friends. As she ran, she glances towards the forest and immediately stopped moving.

There he was.

That creature from earlier was back.

She could feel his gaze burning holes through her. He was hidden behind some trees, his slender figure making it easier to hide behind them. Her body was still and her eyes remained glued to the faceless creature. He wouldn't move either, they were both completely still, observing each other.

"Tag, you're it!" Amber turns around to see Zayne grinning victoriously. She looks back at the forest to find that the slender being had vanished into thin air as if he wasn't there to begin with.

When she turns back around to face Zayne, he was already gone as well. She sighs and starts running to hopefully tag one of the guys, yet that creature never left her mind.

Him...

Slenderman.
