JULIANNA/JALEN
As I stood in front of the automatic doors, the sight as they drew open was always something to behold to me-
Many people crowding around the elevators, some in chaotic lines for tickets and security checks... oh boy. It was not a good sight.
"Let's just get away from all this and take the sky tram," my mom suggested quietly.
I didn't hesitate to nod my agreement to her.
As soon as we boarded, she whispered,
"Okay, we're getting off at the Terminal E baggage claim," she whispered. "Don't forget."
"Yeah, yeah..." was all I could say as I noticed people glaring at us. Some men aboard gave me a smirk. My mom returned with an incredibly deadly glare. They immediately turned away in horror.
Ugh. How long was this ride?
As the intercom announced, "Next stop, Terminal E baggage claim", I knew that it wasn't too long until I met my family and these anonymous butlers...

I stepped off the sky tram and walked out.
"Hmm. Now where could they be..." my mom muttered, scouting the area.
I pointed to the large crowd of people around one bag drop.
"Over there?"
"No, that can't be. Your grandmother said the flight was smaller than she thought. But maybe you're right. Let's just check the arrivals."
I scanned the flights on the electronic board, watching as many changed from one message to another.
The one flight my mom mentioned...
It said "Arrived" one moment, then "At Gate" the next.
"Well, perfect timing, let's go stand by the gate!" She called, gesturing for me to follow her by waving her fingers in said motion.
"Oh, god, okay..." I muttered, catching up with her.
I scrolled through my phone as I waited, browsing texts from many of my friends. Eventually, I got another notification. It was Katie, but she forwarded the message to everyone in the art club... oh, a group chat... this is going to get hectic.
Hey, everyone, a quick reminder that elections for our future President and Vice President will take place soon. Julianna and I are graduating after this coming year and these semesters that follow. Also, please don't forget to work on your parts of our project! Let's also keep up a group text and share our progress over the summer! Love you all!
Heh. Oh, Katie. Always one to be super kind, yet super informal.
A loud dragging of the automatic doors opening made my eyes fly up from my phone, and instinctively, I tucked it away.
Many people chattered as they exited the doors and dispersed through the airport. After a few minutes, my mom saw some faces she seemed to recognize.
She ran up and gave them a hug and shook some hands.
My grandparents.
I slowly stood up and smiled as I walked over to them.
My grandmother immediately began speaking in Korean. My mother responded similarly.
"Mom, what's she saying?" I whispered.
"She just said 'look at how big she's grown! You've been feeding her well, right?'." She whispered back.
