1st period all the way down to lunch was good. At lunch although I did sit by myself because every one at the table I barley knew. But the best part of the day was definitely 7th period.
7th period was math but the teacher said since it was only the first day that he would let us play games.
"Okay, class. We're going to play a game that I made up called
Run around. Everyone slightly laughed at the name including me.
"How we play is 7 people stand in a position around the classroom.
I will tap you on the shoulder if you will be in any round of the game.
Then you will get a number on a big piece of paper taped to your chest.
If I accidentally give you and someone else the same number then you will chase one another around. You will tap them on the shoulder. The first person to get tapped will then be given a new number and stay for another round in the game."
The game sounded fun to me. I always play games at home to pass the time.
Sometimes I played them with Caleb or just play them by myself.
"Get prepared!" The teacher Mr. Hawkins said.
I think I am prepared. I feel like I've been sitting this way for all my life.
We were all sitting on the floor hoping he would tap on our shoulder.
Except I don't know what to think about playing this game.
The games I play don't involve running around so I don't know how this is going to turn out.
He got to the end of the line were I was and tapped on my shoulder.
I stood up immediately and walked to the back wall and stood behind a big desk. He tapped a piece of paper to my chest. I looked down at it and it read
Four.
I suddenly got a feeling like that was familiar ---- four? It's just a number why would it be familiar?
"Okay! The game begins now!" Mr. Hawkins shouted. I erased the four thought out of my brain.
I looked around at the people but I could barley see them.
It was about pitch black because
Mr. Hawkins had turned the lights off earlier. I focused my head on everyone and made a serious face.
Suddenly I saw a boy move out of the corner of my eye.
I looked at him as he just stood there looking at me.
I knew what was about to happen.
But I had to act fast or I would get tapped first.
I only stepped one tiny step in front of me and he fired at me.
I ran the other way and we ended up chasing each other around the big desk till a bright idea popped into my head.
I sped up my speed and ducked around a corner.
Before he came around the corner I threw a couple penny's out of my pocket. He stopped and started to go the other way to were the penny's are when I jumped up and tapped him from behind.
"Oh you cheat!!!!" He said.
I laughed cleverly and sat back down in my old place.
The next round a girl with glasses with thick black lens and a ponytail had to stay another round and a black headed girl with amber highlights at the ends of her hair sat back down.
The next round we had to restart because Mr. Hawkins didn't give two people the same number.
After 15 minutes of rounds the bell rang which meant.... It was finally time to go home.
