The cold breeze washed against Heather's pale face as leaves blew around the rusting veachle. She sat quite uncomftibly on an old seat within the rusted blue car. The car had been there for a good while, maybe it was there before Heather was even born?

she glanced around the opening, seeing the orange hue of light from the setting sun. The light remaing dancing between the trees making large shadows stain the ground. The chilled air made her shut her jacket before pulling the blanket over her frame of which was placed on the seat.

It had been a few days after Heather had killed her step farther. the two still found themselves within the forrest, No one had find them yet so what was the point in leaving? They hadent made much tracks throught the past 3 days but they wernt fussed, well not after they found the car.

It was old, very old at that. It was missing a wheel and the others where flat. The blue paint had mostly rusterd away and ontop of that moss had started to grown where ever it could. The car was in no shape to be driven but hey it was warmer then outside when it came to night.

She took a smoke from the joint in her hand, blowing it out slowly before closing her eyes, she was tierd, cold and feeling rather weak at that. She just wanted to crawl up into her bed at home, even if the home was a hell at least it was warm and on top of that max woudent be in danger, she wished he dident tag along. She had practically ruined his life with a mistake in the spurs of a moment. But now he was most likely wanted alongside her. He had been missing the same amount of time and they must of found the body by now, right? What if they havent, what if they could go else where and not be noticed? Maybe they could go to plega, maybe they would be safe there...well safer then what they are here.

Taking another smoke of the joint she took it from her mouth sighing the smoke out before turning around to see max cuddled up in the corner off the other side to the other blanket. His eyes where blood shot and he had a shit eaten grin on his face, he was quite shit faced, more then heather, which she was quite jelloius off.

"caan you shut the..ha..the fucking door? im Bloooooody...freezig!" Max complained almost zooning off a few dozen times whillest saying it.

Heather nodded before she brought her legs into the car, with that she closed the door and rewrapped herself in the blanket before leaning againts the window, looking at the beautiful view she wish she could enjoy without the fear plauging her mind.

Finishing off her tab she opend the door slightly and flicked it out of course after putting it out beforehand. With that she went back to trying to get herself warm, no matter how tight she made the blanket it seemed impossible to get warm, well into max offerd his help.

He opend his arms and smilled to her whillest trying his darn hardest to speack whithout forgetting what he was saying, "come here, get hugs! he cheerful shouted out to which heather could do nothing but crawl over. she new if she refused he would just bug her into she did, he got rather clingy when high.

she laid down pushed into the corner in so max had as much room as he could possible have without falling of the seat. His arm was wrapped around her to which she just laid her head onto his chest, trying to make more room for him as he was half dangeling off. having her blanket still wrapped around her she found it suprising when max had started to share his with her. Been thankful for it she said her thanks before closing her eyes feeling the weight of walking most the day ache her legs she was quite happy to sleep, well to try to atleast.

Heather had suddenly jerked up her heart racing as if she had just ran a marathon. Her frame was coverd in sweat she could feel crawl down her skin. Her heart felt as if it was beaten faster and faster by the moment. She grabed onto her chest before closing her eyes pulling all of her concentration onto trying to calm her breathing.

She had thought the best way to do it was to hold her breath for a solid moment before taking a deep breath in. As she done this she heard the door click up, assuming it was max she decided to ignore it and forces once more on her breathing.

"Woah heth you okay?!" She heard the paniked voice of his, fuss other her, "deep breaths, im here, you safe" was a few things that followed his question.

Heather felt his warm arm wrap around her shoulder as his other hand gently stroked her arm. The stroking had stinged heather from the wounds on her arm, the ones by her supposedly farther chucking glass bottles to her. She didn't particularly care of that however, the comfert of his touch made up for the pain she had to embrace for it.

A few minutes had passed and her breathing had went back to normal, max still held onto her, giving her a sort of hug with one arm, leaving it mostly open as to not panic her any more.

"Can i ask why that happened?" Max spoke finally breaking the silence.

"I...i think" heather struggled out finding it hard to talk. "It was..just a bad...a bad dream..."

Heather wasent fully lying, it was a dream that sent her into that sort of panic. not a bad one to what is standard to the typical nightmare however. There where no monsters chasing her, she wasn't dying nor did she end up in school naked. It was fireflies, thats all she could remember seeing. She couldn't renember where she was, maybe it was a forrest? She did hear the odd sound of owls and the blowing of the leaves. She didn't want to say that at certain though as she also recalled the sound of guns and speeding cars. The only other thing she could be certain off apart from the fireflies was there where voices. Now she couldn't remember what they where saying but she was certain there was more then one. One sounded to be the raspy voice of an old...woman? It could of been a man. The other...well others really where all talking at once. They varied in tone, some where rather high pitched and others where quite deep.

he would for sure make fun of her for having a nightmare about fireflies! So instead she stayed quite of what it was about only to mutter "i cant remember" when he asked about it.

"Oh, how can you be scared of something you can't remember?" He giggled out before pulling away from the hug, leaving the car once more.

Heather just shrugged as she watched him leave, she felt a little sad when he left, she wished they could of hugged for longer, he must of pulled away for a reason, she already new why, they had decided to carry on moving today. She didn't particularly want to but if they didn't so eone would surely find them soon.

"Well then, when you have fully calmed down help me pack up, if we are where i think we are theres a gas store not far from here."
