Nothing but the truth.

Everything felt so right in that moment. I didn't know what it was but the feeling was amazing. It was like pure ecstasy. I just gazed, transfixed. He put his dark, tanned hand out and said,

"Hi, my name is Rian, what's your name?"

I shook his hand, still unsure what to think and managed to stutter out,

"My name is Sydni....."

"Well Sydni.... It's nice to meet you. We're going to be best friends."

I shut my locker, and walked away in a daze. I knew that my life was going to be forever different now that I had met Rian. I could just tell and I wasn't quite sure why. Things felt different. I went to my first and was sad to see that Rian wasn't in my class. I had hoped that we would have some classes together. I was new, so I didn't know anyone at all, and I felt very out of place as I sat down at an empty table. 

The next few classes were average, until I walked into to study hall and saw Rian sitting there, looking like an angel on earth. This boy would be my savior and I knew it. I sat down, behind him so I wouldn't seem creepy or anything. He was seated next to a boy with long shaggy brown hair and amazingly blue eyes. From what I knew, his name was Kole. I talked with them a little bit during study hall and felt extremely happy about it. They were really funny, and nice to me. I still found it strange how everyone as a whole was nice to eacthother at SLA. 

Rian wasn't in any more of my classes after that, but Kole was.

At the end of the day at our lockers, Rian threw his superman snapback on my head and said, 

'Hold this."

I took it off, and he asked me if I hadn't wanted to mess up my lucious hair. I just laughed and told him that I found my hair perfectly horrid, and he said he thought his was as well.

Later that night, I thought about how one of my favorite songs was Waiting For Superman by Daughtry, and how Rian had a superman snapback. Maybe it was just a funny coincidence, but I thought it was a bit ironic. Maybe he was the superman I had been waiting for.
