The Girl Inside

Chapter 14

We sat in a tight circle in cell block D , anxiously looking at each other or in Ricks case, glaring at us all in turn accusingly. No one had admitted to the zombie feeding, but we could only guess it was someone unhinged. I know that some suspected me, but would i really do that if i could just eat the rats myself? Rick suddenly stood up slamming his fists onto the table

"Someone better own up now!" he shouted. His nostrils flared continuously as he slammed hist fists again.

"I will not let something like this go, as it can bring the whole prison down!," he shouted again.

. Chandler looked at me worried and Glenn squeezed Maggies hand under the table reasurringly.

I was with Rick, if this carried on more zombies would come to the prison gates and soon push them over. There was a continuous build up of them, and many days we could just simply not kill them all. I know that some of us still thought that there was a little glimmer of the person they used to be in them, and obviously after my case i personally am more reluctant day after day to kill zombies. I often wondered if there was more of 'me' out there, if they were being hunted, scared... it makes me wish more and more that i was still human. Was this really all Gods plan or did he actually make a deal witht the devil?

"By the end of the week i will have found out who is doing this." he threatened, got up and left.

I sat on my bed with my notepad in my lap writing down everyone who lived in the prison and about them, trying myself to figure out who was feeding the zombies cut up rat chunks.

Rick- obviously not as he would never jeopardize anyone who lived here, especially as he had a family.

Chandler- quite sure he is sain. Does have a weird fetish with choclate pudding though, maybe rats too?

Lori- that bitch is capable of doing anything that could frame me, or worse get me expelled from the prison.

Daryl- he was Ricks wing man. He is well respected and has people who care about him, definitely a no for him.

Merle- He was Daryl's brother and would protect him even if a meant a bullet through his chest, but i wasnt sure where his loyaltiy really laid as it certainly wasn't with Rick.  

Sasha- She was harmless, fierceless and confident, but was definitely on the 'living this apocalypse out' side.

Maggie- Not if it would hurt Glenn.

Glenn- No again, if it would hurt Maggie.

Beth- she is harmless like Sasha, and cares about her family at the prison too much.

Hershel- Such a cute old man, but was age affecting him?

Michonne- no way, she enjoys killing zombies too much.**

**Infact must ask her if i can borrow her katana some time.

I looked up for my notebook in thought, smiling to myself. How great it would be to swing that sword around my head and

*slice*

off Lori's head would go, rolling down into oh how convenient, a large pack off walkers. My eyes glazed over in happiness unitl this bubbling urge in my stomach suddenly formed, forcing my mouth open dry wretching until in fact black , bloody liquid frothed and squirted out of my mouth, where it splattered all over the wall behind the tiny sink in my cell and all in the sink. I washed it down quickly, wipping a wet cloth all over face and the wall, cleaning all reminiscent off of my vomity explode of my inners. Luckily i had just composed my face after thaking a few shuddery gulps of air when Chandler walked in, asking my to come and check something out with me quickly. I got up and followed him out, replying yes half- heartily.

He lead me down to the part of the fence where i discovered the chopped up flesh earlier that day. He pointed to a part of the fence at roughly eye line, where it was red stained with blood and tiny shreds of meat stuck on the very points.

"Don't you see Luna? No-one from the prison has been feeding the rats, someone from the outside has been pushing the meat in." he declared.
