Days and weeks passed. Eventually Vienna made a name for herself at the bar. Everyone on The Closure knew her, and how she did whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted to. She was not tagged as an "easy girl", cause she knew how to say "no". And believe me, she said "no" a lot. And she knew exactly what she wanted and who she wanted it with. The following night after meeting Dax she went to the bar again. This time with an elaborated plan. Dax was there, and he approached her at the bar counter. But Vienna simply ignored him, he caught the hint and left her alone. That night she flirted with a few guys. Not talking much. But as soon as they got too personal -asked about her job or her family- she pretended seeing someone she knew across the place, and left the guy empty handed. When she got to one who wouldn't talk, instead would keep his hands busy touching her, she would drop the apartment bomb and the rest just happened.
She knew this was "wrong". Or at least not right. She was not proud of the way she was living, but at the same time she couldn't think of any another way to shut the pain from breaking her. It was her only way of coping. On week days she would leave the office very late at night to be as tired as possible when she got home. And as the bar nights we're passing she started setting rules for herself. No phone numbers exchange, no personal information, no repeating. Never allow them to stay the night, when things were done, you had to go your way. She never fucked the same guy twice. Because that would mean some sort of bonding or relationship she clearly wanted to avoid. Despite all of the sex, the strangers and the alcohol, Vienna didn't put away any of Bruno's pictures. When she felt alone she would go over Bruno's records, he loved Queen and had all of their albums. Or maybe she would prepare some of Bruno's special brownies, with his recipes book. The apartment did not change a thing, because she felt things shouldn't change either.
Six moths after Bruno's death Vienna met another guy at the bar, and got him into her bed. He was hot, really sexy, like one of the hottest guys she ever took home. He had brown hair, not too dark, a very pale white skin and two big, round and beautiful blue eyes. And the accent, he had this European weird accent Vienna could not figure out where was it from. They had been do in it for a couple hours and she actually started questioning if she could go on much more. He was good, like surprisingly too good. Without even talking about it, blue eyes fingered her exactly how she liked it, and when she was closest to coming he stopped and put her on her fours. She loved that. She even broke one of her own rules while they were kissing on the elevator, he was so intense, so confident, she felt like moaning hard, but didn't had much to say and, without thinking, she asked him his name. Gale.
Gale looked like the exact opposite of Bruno. Don't get me wrong, Bruno was hot and knew his way around in bed. But physically, Bruno had a darker skin tone than Gale, his eyes were deep green and his hair was very dark black. They say a lighting never strikes twice, but Vienna had them both on top of her, and that's what I'd call a lucky girl. They went on it all night, she even felt like her legs where gonna give up on her soon enough, but she kept going because you don't loose a chance like that. All night Gale pushed her around and then held her close so tightly. In the fire of the moment they didn't even realized they ended up fucking on the floor. When the sun started coming up Vienna was on top of Gale, coming for the fourth time that night. Gale pushed her aside on the bed and fetched his vape from the pocket of his jeans on the floor. Vienna covered herself with the sheet and tried to calm her breathing.
Silence. Gale did not say a word, and so didn't she. They stayed looking at the ceiling for a few minutes and she pushed herself to follow the routine and show him the way out. She cleared her throat and sat on the bed with her back on the wall.
-Mmm, Gale, do you want me to call you a cab?
Gale laughed and then exhaled a big cloud of smoke, vapor smoke.
