When I opened my eyes and everything blurred. I was light headed. I felt my hands being picked up and being put against my ears.

"Don't worry"
I heard a soft whisper say to me.

"It's over"

(There's a lot of gun pointing for some reason)

It's been weeks ever since I seen Philip and Martial. Tatay has been planning to turn against Spain Empire(SE), and save them, and I agreed with him,

but I didn't want
anyone else to get hurt
ever since
They killed my mother.

SE killed her because she revolted against him. There was nothing wrong with revolting but it gone too far. If only I had stopped her if I hadn't said anything, then maybe,
just maybe she wouldn't have died.

It was just a normal day and nothing had went wrong, until guards knocked on the door. The guards wanted my father because he was the leader of the revolution that caused problems for SE. He was wanted for a week now, and I guess they found us suspicious of hiding him here, but he was somewhere else. "We are looking for your husband, Katipunan, we assume you know where he is.", the guard said in a strict tone. "We don—", I said before getting slapped across my face. This triggered Nanay. She grabbed the guards arm and looked at him with her dark brown eyes, "Don't you dare touch my son, bastard." The guard jerked his hand away
from Nanay's grip. "Dare argue against me, then just see what'll happen to you."

He shot her.

She fell on the floor. I ran to her, crying. There was blood coming from her waist. I looked back the guards and they had already left the house. I looked back at Nanay and her face was pale. "Nanay I'm going to call for help, ok.", I said crying. "Anak, no.", she said in a weak voice. "By the time help comes I'll be dead." I looked at her with an angry face, "You can't lose hope now, I need you, WE need you."

"Anak, please at least promise me this."

"Keep your your father and brothers safe, ok?".

I hugged her.

"Opo, Nanay."
