Imagine going with Chad to the ball instead of Mal because she chose Ben.

Mal eyes went into the crowd and locked eyes with you. You can see the sadness in her eyes when she noticed you were with Chad. Hopefully this will all get better soon.

Everyone greeted Mal by bowing. You lower your head, bowing, not wanting to be disrespectful. The locked stare you both had never broke. You didn't know what to do nor say at this moment. You did miss her. But she chose Ben. She didn't even have to tell you for you to see. She's happy with him, and you didn't want to ruin that. You were happy for them, but deep inside of you, there's still that little feeling of envious. You must choose.
