"Big day! Get up!" Betty screams as I wake up.

Game face Iris, the Games are about to begin.

"You'll have breakfast under the arena, now put on these." Betty hands me sweats with 11s all around them. I walk out of my room with Chaff running to the dining section.

"Kaden;s on the plane. It's time to say goodbye." Chaff says to Betty.

I turn to Betty, knowing that I'll never see her again. I feel bad that she'll have to watch me die a horrible death.

"I'll always remember you." She says. I nod and walk out the door into the elevator with Chaff.

"Okay, once you land you'll be escorted to a Launh Room where Leif will be waiting for you, this is where your arena clothes will be and food will be there as well. As you know, the Cornucopia is going to have all sorts of weapons and resources, there is probably racks of knives."

I look at Chaff with a smile on my face.

"Don't go for it." Chaff comands.

"Why not? If I don't then-"

"Cierra will get them. I know she will. You don't want to fight her especially in the first few minutes of the games. She has a little but of height on you and years of training. She's the one tribute you want to avoid."

"Then how do I get knives, The whole point I traned with Darell was to be good at knives and fighting."

Chaff stands and thinks on how i can get my weapons from the one tribute I need to aviod in the Games. "Stay close to her, so when she dies, you can get her knives, Or steal them when she's sleepinh."

"Steal knives from Cierra? The most dangerous tribute of all time?"

"She's not the most dangerous tribute of all time Iris, the score means nothing."

We reach the roof and stare at the hovercraft that will be taking me to my death.

"Iris," Chaff holds my shoulders and I look up at him. "You can do this, you're a smart, skillful thrower." He hugs me and I hug back,

"Oh, two more things. When you're on the pedestal, don't get off until the gong is sounded and use your size to your advantage, most tributes can't fit in some places you can."

"Okay." I say and walk towards the hovercraft, towards the end of my younge life.

"Sit over there." A women points to the seat on the end. I walk over to find out I'm going to be sitting next to Cierra for who knows how long.

"Give me your arm." The women commands.

"Why?" I ask, the lady grabs my arm and sticks a huge needle into it. I let out a lould scream from the pain.

"It's your tracker." The women states and walks away.

I look at the wound from the huge needle and start to feel tears in my eyes as I examin it and touch it.

"Compared to what's going to happen to you in the arena, that wasn't pain." Cierra says.

"Hun?" I reply.

"You heard me 11." She looks at me and I stare into her grey eyes. I see nothing but hate and determination. But under all of that, there's something else, I just can't put my finger on it.

The hovercraft ride was less than an hour. I'm esocrted into a cement room, the Launch Room. Inside, I find Leif. I automatically run and hug him.

"Come one, let's get you dressed." Leif grabs what I'm going to wear in the games. I have to wear a short, black elitist bodysuit, a skintight shirt and pants, and a light jacket.
