Human: no mortal has ever stepped into Vampire territory, and come back out alive...without the First one's permission. That filthy race's isn't worth visiting in the first place anyway, so what's the point? I bet you that that whole kingdom is nothing but shambles.

Monster: It is said that the Beast controls all of his subjects through means of mind control. Bah! But that's just nonsense! I betcha he uses blackmails by forcing them to do his dirty work, or else he won't feed them.

Vampire: I've seen both....the land of the Monsters....the valleys of the Humans....they were both no doubt flauntless. But the people I came across weren't as nice, for their greedy hearts made them cold. I much prefer my home here. It's so full of life, with everyone being so happy all the time........it's beautiful.....it's home.

Encre woke up with a start at the sound of muffled chattering. Eyes groggily trying to look at the commotion around him, he noticed that everyone in the camp were all scurrying about, grabbing whatever they could. Scrambling in a hurried matter, Encre saw Rufous heading straight for him.

"There ya are!" He cried, his breaths coming out in heaves.
"I've been looking for you all mornin'. Did you sleep outside?"

Only then did Encre notice that he had indeed been lying down on a cool patch of grass. "I...I guess I did. I must have drank too much."
With a splitting headache overwhelming him, Encre barely noticed Rufous pulling him to his feet.

"No time for a hangover Nerd, we got to get packing."

"What's going on?" Encre's eyes darted around, pain exploding as the sun hit him.

"We're packing up Camp. We just got word that the king of vampires has allowed us to enter one of his villages."

"...to make a speech?"

Rufous didn't answer his question, only gave a grim look that shadowed his face as he lead them both to their tent. They then began gathering up all of their things, which wasn't as much as Encre had assumed. He guessed that he just fooled him into thinking he had carried more than he should have.

Taking down the tent and folding it up neatly so that it may fit into one of their bags, Rufous handed his canteen of water over to Encre in hopes that it may sober him up. Giving out a slow yawn, the hungover skeleton gave a little chuckle as he saw several other monsters trying to sober up themselves as well.

Maybe this would turn out better than he thought, Encre said to himself as his mouth turned up a little in a smile.

Everyone once again began their hike torwards the village, the morning dew air chilling most of their bones and the think fog piercing their vision. Due to this, all of the monsters with night vision were ordered to stay in front, as they had the best chance at navigating the group. Rufous and Encre were told to stay at the very back by one of the commanding officers, at which they first refused since their vision was perfectly fine, but eventually gave in.

To their surprise there was still a few other monsters trailing behind them.
Looking back at the several black figures, Encre couldn't quite put it on his finger, but he swore he had seen someone he once knew.

The thought was so ridiculous that he ended up laughing outloud accidentally.

"What's so funny?"

Encre shook his head and dismissed the question, as there was no need to tell him because he wouldn't understand it in the first place.
