Chapter 5: The Avocado Arrives!

Pian0Fr3ak: Shuichi?

Pian0Fr3ak: Shuiiichiii?

Sweetchi: What is it?

Pian0Fr3ak: Is everyone else up?

Pian0Fr3ak: I'm a bit of a heavy sleeper...

Sweetchi: Yeah

Sweetchi: Kaito and Maki are in the bathroom right now getting cleaned up for the morning

Pian0Fr3ak: Cool...

Pian0Fr3ak: Could you grab me some leftover pizza from last night and put them out for me as my breakfast?

Sweetchi: I'm not Kirumi

A couple of minutes before Kaede was forced to leave the comfort of her bed, Shuichi was downstairs in Kaede's living room. The last night, he, Maki and Kaito had been invited to stay over at Kaede's house, so they could binge watch That Time I was Reincarnated as a Slime with her. The evening had become a bit more eventful after Kaito suggested they needlessly have fun by committing a prank-fest on Kaede's twin sister Konata. After getting ready for the morning, Maki and Kaito joined Shuichi at Kaede's dining room table. Konata was still upstairs asleep, and considering the terrible things they had done to her the last night, they all believed it was right to just leave her alone. Kaede, however, woke up grumpy when faced with her boyfriends resilience. In retaliation to not only being coerced by Shuichi's stern (if a little hot) nature, but also in being the minecraft version of rickrolled, Kaede decided to take her whole bedsheet and wrap it round her as she came down for breakfast. Shuichi and the others were at first a little bit confused as to what the loud noise coming down the stairs was, and Kaito laughed when he saw the wrapped up Kaede appear from the hallway. "You look like a cinnamon roll!" Kaito pointed out, giggling at the moody looking Kaede. "It's even better than that," Shuichi embraced Kaede with one arm as she sat down next to him "she's MY cinnamon roll. You can't have her!" Kaito smiled "It's cool, I've got my Maki Roll..." Kaito put his arm around Maki, who while embarrassed, was happy. It had been a while since the group was able to enjoy life this way. When at Hope's Peak, they were viewed as nothing more than the Ultimate Students, the best of the best in their certain fields. However, when hanging out like this on this calm morning, they weren't special, they were just humans. Usually, all 4 of them appreciated their talents, some of which, like Kaito, planned a lot of things regarding their fields in the future, however, living life normally was a good break, and moment that should be cherished for them. Needless to say, everyone was content, though admittedly, Kaede was still half asleep. "Weren't you going to get the leftover pizza out of the fridge?" Maki asked the wrapped up Kaede under the blanket. "The kitchen's cold..." she mumbled out from underneath the duvet. Shuichi sighed. He'd at least been able to get his girlfriend out of bed, but he realised this was probably as far as he was going to get. He was about to get up and get the pizza, but Kaito offered to do it in his stead. "You seriously planning on having cold pizza for breakfast?" Kaito asked her judgingly "Hey, you wouldn't believe it, but hot pizza and cold pizza both have very different tastes...cold pizza is good for breakfast or lunch..." Kaede explained. Maki sighed "You have very weird tastes..." she told her "then again, I've never tried cold pizza..." "Oh, you should!" Kaede smiled "it tastes better than it sounds, trust me!" "It's kinda weird if you ask me," Shuichi said "like...is it possible to have bad pizza? Or...great pizza?" "Yeah, I see what you mean," Kaito said, returning with the half empty pizza box "it's like...you can't have bad pizza. I mean, you can have pizza that's good, or pizza that's ok...right?" "Yeah, like, I don't get it, but that's kinda how it works?" Kaito laughed to himself yet again as he realised he and his bro were having another pointless conversation. Kaito might not have been the brightest bulb, but no one could deny that he was a thinker. He thought about a lot of stuff and would rarely keep it to himself. He was the type of guy to blurt out whatever nonsense came to his mind, so long as he wasn't surrounded by complete quiet. Though saying that, Kaito didn't mind this sort of quiet. It was a type of quiet he could enjoy with his friend, who were practically family at this point. However, the cheery morning atmosphere was cut off when suddenly, an agonising yell came out from Shuichi's pocket and made everyone jump! "The hell was that!?" Maki exclaimed "Sorry..." Shuichi laughed awkwardly "that's my notification noise..." "What the hell was that? A scream?" Maki asked yet again. Shuichi shook his head "It's from a video, I'll send it to you..." Shuichi took his screaming phone out of his pocket and sent Maki the video his notification noise came from
