Em's pov

There are over seven trillion nerves inside of the body, and  as soon as the choking entered my ear, they all had somehow managed to freeze.

I stood breathless in my spot, still staring at a horror stricken jace who at the moment was still on his knees.

The choking grew louder and I found myself growing fearful.

Horror drove itself into my system, slithering like breathing slime, leaving trails of hopelessness everywhere that it touched.

I felt my insides melting with emotion as nurses burst into the room, one of them pushing me aside until I landed on a sofa near by.

Through-out the chaos, jace had gotten up and ran to where I was laying.

I heard the sounds of at-least three machines, beeping and  screaming loudly and then a green line on some sort of machine that went straight.

"We're loosing him!" I heard someone scream," pump harder!"

The last thing I saw was Jace's paniced face as I drifted towards the hell awaiting me.

My nightmares.

Jace's pov

She fainted....

Emerald just fainted!

The realization hit me quick and I attempted to get one of the nurses attention but they were all too busy pumping things into Blade's system and shouting things out loud.

Two doctors ran in, and immediately got to work, unaware of the unconscience  teenager on the couch.

I left them to work and carried Emerald in my arms, taking her to an empty room a couple of halls away and laying her down on the bed.

After making sure she was comfortable, I went back to Blades room which was now locked.

I stood on my tippy toes, peering through the small window that allowed me a glimpse into the room.

It had about three nurses and two doctors, all of them sweating with hard work.

A nurse connected a familiar machine  onto blades mouth and I realized I recognized it because it was also hooked on to Emerald to help her breath during her sudden comas.

Was Blade experiencing sleep apnea?

That explained the choking, he must have stopped breathing for long a long time for it to be this dangerous.

I sighed and headed to Emerald's room. At the sight of her, clutching her throat in her sleep, with a pained look on her face, I panicked.

I ran up to her, trying my hardest to wake her up, and to end her miserable coma but whatever I did, it was no help.

Blade's pov

It felt like fire in my lungs. It was as if a jagged iron was pressed against my throat.

I felt helpless.

A faint beeping sound in the distance entered my ear and I slowly became more aware of reality.

I felt chemicals slithering through my body as in to fix it but deep down I knew they were helpless.

My wolf began to stir and growl in need for its mate.

My body, mind and soul demanded for its other half, angered to have spent so long without her in my arms.

Time went by slowly but I didn't know if it had been minutes or hours.

All I knew was that I was becoming more and more awakened.
