Iris Davis.
"Thanks. Bye." Mira slammed the door after Reese handed her the money and locked it. Iris shook his head at his little sister. He was disappointed in what she was doing but at the same time he respected the fact that she stopped it when she found out about his wife. And she was getting paid for it.
He had come over with Don to eat up all her snacks and watch the game. It really would've just been him usually but he was trying his hardest to play matchmaker. He couldn't stand Draya's ass and all she had going on was baby daddy drama. He didn't want that for his bro. Plus he knew Mira was a good ass girlfriend.
"So what you scavengers wanna eat?" Mira asked squeezing between them on the couch.
"Ooh Mir make summa' that good ass honey hot chicken you be makin'." Iris's mouth watered at the thought. He loved Mira's cooking because it reminded him of his mom's cooking. Well whenever she was sober enough to cook.
Iris and Isabella's parents weren't awful, but they weren't the best either. Their dad was a good dad most of the time. He worked at a nursing home in order to support his family and he made a good amount of money doing it. Now his wife on the other hand, blew through money like a quarterback in offseason. She'd buy clothes, shoes and bags, but her favorite thing to spend money on was alcohol. She didn't get drunk, she got wasted and alcohol and two badass kids did not mix.
"Ion feel like makin' that I, can't you call Bells to do it. Her stuff be just as good."
"First of all, you a lie cuz' Isabella Davis can't cook for shit. Second, her ass been actin' suspect as fuck lately." Iris rubbed his hand down his face thinking about his sister. Ever since that shit at the club happened she'd been acting like a whole opp. He knew exactly who had snatched his sister up and he planned on going after his ass too, but she had argued him out of it telling him to stay in his place.
"Yeah she really went in on me the other day for trying to find out what happened to her."
"Damn that don't sound like Bella." Don finally chimed into the conversation.
"At all. You her best friend she know better." Now it was really starting to make Iris mad. Bella usually was rude to him but to Mira? Something was definitely up and he was gonna find out what.
Mira stood up off the couch walking towards the kitchen. She could sense the shift in everybody's mood so she was just gonna go make the chicken.
"Aye bruh, I meant to talk to you about the club that night on Mir birthday. You know it was that nigga Rich right?"
Don raised an eyebrow trying to remember who the fuck Rich was. He'd got out the game a couple years ago after his sister died in the crossfire. He tried forgetting all the shit that came along with it too.
