I loved her, I know I did, but would it work out? The us part? As I was leaning on a railing pondering my thoughts by the docks, I felt a slight tap on the shoulder. I turned my head slightly and saw short haired blondey with crossed arms. Bloody hell, not again...
"What is it that you want mate? We've been over this. Swan and I-" David quickly cut me off with a furious attitude. "Let me explain alright?! I love that Emma has found her true love, but...why'd it have to be you?" He spat the last phrase as an insult.
"Look mate, I understand that, but Emma has already decided who she wants to be with. Her future's up to her as much as it is to I. So don't go all warrior on me." I paused. "Also mate; if you don't want your dear Swan to be upset, I suggest you don't kill me. That alright for you?" I made a slight smile because deep down, he knew I was right.
"I agree with you pirate, but that's all you'll ever be. A drunk, no-good, smelly, back-stabbing, pirate. I'm watching you. Break her heart in any way possible, and the only thing that'll break is your neck as well as everything else."
David stomped away, taking some of my dignity along with him. Oh great! I lose a hand, my first love, a man's trust, now my bloody dignity?! What next?!
I sat by the docks on a wooden bench admiring the sunset and the smell of salt in the air. It was wonderful; peaceful too. As I was about to drift off to sleep, someone slouched onto the empty space on the bench beside me with tears in there eyes.
I wasn't one for hugging or reasoning, so I decided to walk away. As I stood up, I got a better view of who the person was. I stood there, shocked at what I saw. It was Swan.
I sat back down and pulled her into a tight embrace. "Swan, what's wrong?" She lifted her head and wiped the tears away from her beautiful face. "Nothing...just David arguing I shouldn't be with you." She broke back down to tears.
As I hugged her and had my chin over her head, I had an idea. "Swan?" She refused to lift her head, but replied and said, "Yeah?" I chuckled. "Want to sail away with me?" Her head jolted back up revealing a big smile across her face. "Sure"
I then had a fake smile plastered all over my face. I knew she was lying. "You don't sound that amused Swan, please, what's bring you down? If this whatever bothers you happens to be a person, I'd be happy enough to beat then to a crisp."
Her eyes watered up once again, "You"
I was a bit stunned by this news, but soon I wanted to beat myself up. Wait...why would I be bothering Emma? All I've ever done to her was give a life. A happy one. She continued.
"I just don't understand. Why do you sacrifice everything for me? Why save me when you'll probably die trying? I just don't get it." I sighed. I didn't know how to answer. Wait. I might not say what she wants, but I would say what she needs.
"Sail with me."
"What?
"I am a pirate, you are a princess. We could sail the seven seas. Maybe bring back some presents for all the people, everyone would love us, even David would love us."
"....."
"I sacrifice everything for you, because, I love you."
Well that's a shot finished as usual. I got this chapter's idea from watching this YouTube video, I think it was called: I Am A Pirate You Are A Princess. See ya next time!!
