BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
Brooke suddenly woke up. She brushed her beautiful brown hair out of her face to look at the clock. Oh no! She was going to be late for school and it was the first day! How was she going to live it down? All of the mean girls and bad boy Kyler would make fun of her when she walked in late.
She hopped out of bed and pulled on her skinny jeans and a flannel top. She finished the look off with her signature jandals. She rushed to brush her teeth. She finger combed her long, luscious brown hair the best she could while still brushing her teeth. Her stormy blue eyes peered back at her. She was a tall girl with a slim frame. She had never felt beautiful before, and today was no exception.
Oh well, the boys didn't ever like her anyways, so it didn't matter.
Brooke grabbed an apple off of the kitchen counter and ran out the door. Oh no! The bus was already pulling away from the bus stop.
"Wait!" She yelled as she ran, but no one listed. The bus left her behind.
She ran back inside, "Mom! Can you give me a ride to school?" She said.
Her mom scowled. "You missed the bus? Why are you so worthless?"
Brooke brushed away a tear. "I'm sorry," she said, annoyed. "Can you please take me?"
"No," her mom said. "I have a big case today, and I can't be late."
She wished she could ask her dad to drive her, but he was dead. Five years ago while driving home from his job as a high school English teacher, a drunk driver ran him over at the crosswalk. Brooke's life hadn't been the same since. Her dad was the only one who really loved and understood her. He was the reason she was such a bookworm.
With no one to drive her, Brooke's only option left was to walk. She thought about asking her next door neighbor, Gabe, to walk with her, but she was sure he was already gone.
She sighed and ran out the door.

"Hey there," a low voice from behind her said.
"Gabe," she exclaimed as she hugged him. Gabe was her best friend. He had shaggy, blonde hair that fell to his ears and piercing blue eyes. She had known him since she was five years old. Everyone always thought they were dating, but she didn't see him that way. He was like a brother to her.
"I got you this coffee," he said, holding it out to her.
"Thanks she said," grabbing it from him. It was a pumpkin spice latte, her favorite. Gabe always knew just what to do to cheer her up.
Just then, someone bumped into her. Her coffee exploded and spilled all over her."
"Watch it, bitch," the girl who bumped into her sneered. It was Brittany. They were friends when they were kids until Brittany ditched her for the popular crowd. They hadn't spoken since.
Vroom! Vroom!
Just then Kyler, the baddest boy in the whole school, rolled up on his motorcycle. He was tall and lean, with sculpted arms. His hazel eyes glistened in the sunlight as did his dark red hair.
"The coffee goes in you mouth, not your shirt!" He snickered.
"Mind your own business!" Brooke yelled back as she tried to wipe her shirt off with her hands. But he wasn't paying attention to her anymore. His hand was cupping the butt cheeks of the sexy vixen sitting behind him on his motorcycle, Larissa. Her double D's were spilling out of her small cropped tank top and her daisy dukes hardly covered any of her large ass.
