As a single woman, ( F/N ) had always felt shy towards men. While secretly crushing on one of her best friends, Levi Ackerman, she'd always consider a confession. However, his intimidating ways of waving people off in the past had scared her into hiding.

It was only a simple friend reunion they were in. Just a friend reunion. Mikasa, Eren, Armin, Erwin, Sasha, Connie, Krista, Levi, and ( F/N ) were gathered in Hanji's house. It was early November, and the weather was chilly. Perfect for a casual hangout.

Eren and Mikasa had obvious feelings for each other. The two lovebirds kept rubbing against each other and exchanging cute glances as Sasha explained the strangely precise number of apple pies she consumed in a week.

"I have a total of eleven and a half apple pies in seven days! This shit's a record!" She shouted happily. Connie sighed loudly from the other side of the room. "How do you not have diabetes?" He stated boldly in a sassy tone.

"Oh, shut it, Caillou!"

The room was filled with bursts of laughter at Sasha's funny remark. The only one not laughing was conveniently sat in a corner where no light reached. Levi.

"You guys act like children.." he'd scoff. ( F/N ) took a sip of her tea and shot the handsome man a glare. He had always acted strange. As if he was inhumane...

"Aye! Who says we go on a road trip?" Hanji called out. The others shared murmurs of agreement. "Fuck yeah. We should be fine with it. Levi! Come with us. Have some fun." ( F/N ) said, nudging him. Levi's piercing silver gaze flickered to the people in the room. He breathed a sigh and nodded.

"Hell yeah! Let's go, bitches!" Hanji screeched.

The car broke down.

Halfway through the hour-long drive, the car broke down. Hanji was pacing back and forth the streets as she thought of a solution while the car was taken to a repair shop. "There's a hotel a few blocks away." Mikasa pointed out bluntly, looking up from her phone. "Good idea. You're so smart~" Eren began, winking at the raven-haired girl.

"Eren, flirt later!" Armin whined in embarrassment.

As they worked out a system, the group discovered that a simple way of taking up less space in the hotel was to sleep together in pairs.

Eren and Mikasa flocked together. Hanji and Erwin decided to take a room together, while Armin and Krista decided to do the same. Sasha and Connie, both annoyed, decided to share a room. That only left ( F/N ) and Levi. Despite his protests, Hanji pulled him towards the ( H/C ) girl and pushed them together. "Have fun! And use protection..!" Hanji said the last part quietly.

While the two young adults lay on the king-sized bed together awkwardly, staring at the ceiling. However, Levi held a dark secret that nobody but himself knew. He was a vampire. He didn't burn in the sun, no. Those were children's story vampires. A real vampire doesn't burn in the sun. They have normal canine teeth. Blood is not vital for them. However, a lack of it can cause them to crave it more and more until they go insane for it.

And that was what was happening.

He was thirsty. Thirsty for blood. The last time he drank any was October. That was an entire month without blood. He groaned silently and turned his body around, trying to fall asleep. Maybe he could rest through his thirst and find another way tomorrow. 'Now. I need it now. I can't fight it..'
