A/N Gwen's pov
______________________________
I found myself again in a cell, like the one I was in before. This time, my hands and feet were bound, and they chained me to a pole in the middle of the floor. Jason was also there with me, with the same bindings.
Jason says "Magic proof," so don't bother to try to ask him to magic us out of here.
From what I could see-and feel-they had beaten us badly. Jason had a black eye, and many cuts and other bruises. All I can say is that I felt like crap. I had my share of bruises, and cut, and if I was right, I possibly had a broken toe.
I tried to stay strong, but I was close to tears. It was just too hard for me. Living in this foul place, breaking out, being on the run, Jason being captured, being on the run again, being found, being careful, but living life happily, being basically stalked by Jason who I thought had turned to the dark side, putting me, and my loved ones in danger, and then finding out Jason is good again, and being locked up here with him. It was enough to break even the strongest person.
Now I was really crying. Tears flowed from my eye to my cheek, then onto the floor as I thought about what people had put me through.
"I'm sorry," Jason says."I didn't mean for it to go this far."
"It's ok," I mutter,"I knew it wouldn't get better."
Seeing my sorrow, Jason scoot over to me, and let's me rest my head on his shoulder, just like old times. Except, before, we weren't in a cell.
I close my eyes, and allow myself to finally get all the hurt, the sorrow, and the hate off my chest.
Jason clears his throat, and starts telling me a story from a long time ago, one that was my favorite.
"Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess with rare bright red hair. She lived in a kingdom where everyone had special powers. This princess, named Felicity, had fire powers. All fire benders, as thy were called, had reddish hair, but Felicity was different. She was special.
"It was said that as a baby, she became very sick. Her mother gave her a special elixir that saved her life. The elixir also gave her the signature red hair that she has.
"One day, when she was only 8 years old, her parents were murdered in cold blood. After their tragic deaths, Felicity's aunt gained the throne. It was only a temporary placement, as Felicity was the rightful ruler, but too small to lead a country. She didn't see who murdered her parents, but she couldn't shake the feeling that one of the servants was part of their murder.
"When she was 12, one of the cooks, Jaquine, attempted to kill her too, but Felicity was ready. By that time, she had mastered her fire powers, and was an excellent fighter. Felicity wrapped the non-bending back-stabber in fiery ropes, and cast Jaquine into the dungeon.
"At that point, Felicity had made a decision. No longer would she let her aunt rule.
'I want the throne!' She told her aunt Roscinda.
'Well, my dear, are you sure you're ready for that?' Roscinda questioned.
'I'm sure,' Felicity states.
"Roscinda let's Felicity have the throne. After all, it was just Roscinda's until Felicity could rule. It was much power, more than Felicity realized, but she kept her ground. She let her aunt co-rule with her, so Felicity could receive guidance on how to rule.
"Time passes by, and the country is successful. Felicity, now 18 years old, is a good ruler. She is kind, and treats people fairly. Of course, she does do what's right, even if that means showing the person justice, though.
"She shortly finds herself enveloped into a war, unfortunately. Never having been in a war, she didn't know what to do. She went to her aunt Roscinda for help. Roscinda herself doesn't have much experience with war, so she tells Felicity to follow her instincts.
"Following her instincts, she increases security, and sends the military to fight more. Soon, they get close to bringing down the enemy. But just when they think they're safe, a new enemy rises.
"The unsuspecting queen is abducted by none other than Delloquizare, a powerful water bender. Water and fire are opposites on the element scale, and Delloquinzare's powerful is very powerful, so Felicity's fire power is virtually nothing.
"Felicity, however, finds strength, and defeats Delloquinzare with mighty power.
"No one had been able to beat Delloquinzare, but Felicity was able to, so she became a legend.
"Ever since then, Felicity became the unbeatable. No one dared challenge her, and those who were foolish enough to challenge power, paid the price.
"The country became one of the wealthiest in the land. The end."
I kept hold of those last words for a moment. All of a sudden, an idea popped into my head.
"Jason!" I exclaim."Magic is the answer!"
"I told you, this whole cell is-"
"No! The story proves you can do anything if you find the strength!" I interrupt him.
Jason suddenly grins.
"Maybe," he says.
We attempt to hold hands. I know that maybe I can somehow help him with his powers, and so does he.
We concentrate hard, and I slowly see the chains, and binding fade. All of a sudden, there is a crashing noise, and a man is breaking us apart. He starts to chain us to separate walls.
"I knew we should'a chained you two to separate walls!" He growls.
"NO!" I shout,"I WILL NOT LET YOU WIN ANYMORE!!!! "
At that point, I don't know what is going on, but my hands start glowing, I feel an electrical charge running through me, and bursts of electricity burst out of my hands.
