CYRUS POV

Buffy wasn't in school all day today so I went to the park on my own after school and decided to go on the swings. I was there swing for a few minutes when I heard a voice behind me.
"Hey Cy-Guy!" 'Oh God!' I thought. I looked over my shoulder to see who it was even though I already knew who it was. Tj.
"Hey." I said back
"You come here a lot?" Tj said while coming to sit on the swing next to me.
"Yeah, me and Buffy come here after school a lot." I replied trying to sound calm
"Cool. So how are you finding Jefferson?"
"It's good. I mean, it's better than my old school. Maths is my favourite so far because I'm with all my friends."
"Yeah. I skip maths sometimes but I think I've found a reason not to." He grinned at me. I was flattered but surprised. I felt my cheeks go warm as he looked me at me with him emerald green eyes. As if on cue my mum texted me to come home.
"I have to go home."I excused
"OK but see you at school tomorrow , yeah?"
His voice was soft.
"Yeah see you"

TJ POV

As Cyrus walked away someone spoke behind me.
"Hey, babe!"
'Oh God' I thought
"Hey, Kira!" I turned around and she jumped into my arms.
"You were hanging out with Cyrus again'' she said. I heard the jealousy in her voice.
"Yeah. He's my friend"
"You know I was going to break up with you because you stopped liking that boy Rory, but now you like another boy I might just tell everyone you're gay." Kira taunted
"Fine I'll go out with you." Tj gave in. He didn't know what people would think of him if they found out he was gay. He knew that his parents took a while to come to terms when his older sister, Amber, came out as a lesbian. But what about the guys on his basketball team? What would they say if they found out their team captain was gay?
"Yay! Love you babe!" She leaned in for a kiss but I dodged her
"No!" I said sternly "We are not kissing!"
"Fine. See you tomorrow baby." She said as she walked away.
