Annabeth

"This is getting us no where!" she exclaimed after 10 minutes of pointless pain and hopping.

"How can you be sure? We're in Tartarus, and it's pitch black around here anyway. We're probably going in diferent directions without realising it!"

Suddenly Annabeth froze. "P-Percy." she stuttered. "If we're in Tartarus, where the most evil monsters reform, then why have we not run into any?"

After Annabeth said that, the air seemed to get much colder, and a faint whispering laugh was more pronounced.

'Well done, little Annabeth. Gaia chortled. You have a right to fear what awaits you down here. But it will come when you least expect it. Already, I grow stronger, and with that, your friends grow weaker.

The coldness died. The laughter faded away gently. Annabeth stood there, shaking from head to toe.

"P-P-P-Percy? What if-"

"Shhhh." he said. "It will be okay."

He hugged her then, and for the moment Annabeth forgot exactly where she was.

"I wish we could of had a better way to spend our 10 month anniversary." Percy said.

"What?" Annabeth asked. She looked up at Percy.

"It's June 18th." He said. "Surely you didn't forget?" He had a smile playing at the corners of his face.

Annabeth realised he was right. Usualy she was the one who remembered everything, not Percy. She thought it was sweet, that despite them being in Tartarus, Percy remembered their anniversary.

"I didn't forget." she said. "I just thought you had other things on your mind."

Percy snorted. "Yeah, I'll give you that."

He kissed her. Annabeth's whole world seemed to melt away. A hydra could have breathed a colony of fire over them, and Annabeth wouldn't have noticed.

Percy pulled away. He had a little sparkle in his sea green eyes that made Annabeth's heart do a relay race. Somehow, she knew they were going to get through this. She just knew it.

"We need to start planning a route." Annabeth began.

Percy sighed.

"I suppose you are right." he said with a tint of sadness. "And you look dead on your feet. You could use a break from walking."

He sat her down against the pit wall and then sat down next to her. Together, they began planning their way out of Tartarus.

What did you think of that second chappie? I might do a go between, sort of between Tartarus and then to the Argo 2. Give me your feedback on things and please review! Don't own anything, all rights to Rick Riordan, blah blah blah! Gina xoxo.
