***Caroline's Point of View***

Ok so something in my gut is telling me to trust Elizabeth. She really does love William her, but I'm not sure if he loves her too. This whole thing is so confusing. First William hates me and treats me like trash and now he wants to help us win the rebellion. I mean it makes sense that he would have to act, but he was so convincing. I know without a doubt that Elizabeth loves him. Something is telling me there is something off with his story though. For now I'm going to hear out Elizabeth and when William gets back I want to hear it from him.

"The king knows of your father's plan to attack the castle." Elizabeth says pulling me out of my inner thought. "My father was going to attack the castle?! This castle!? The castle that will be full of vampires!" I yell jumping off my bed. "William is with them right now. He went to warn them." She rushed out trying to calm me down. "Really?" I snap out. "Since when does William care about human's. I get that you love him Elizabeth, but this could all be trap." I try to make her see reason but she is shaking her head before I even finish. "You don't know him like I do, Caroline. I grew up with him watching out for me. Please believe me." I walk to the other side of the room and press my forehead against the wall. "Fine." I start. "I am going to see my father. If William is really there I will hear him out and then I will decide if I trust him or not." I say heading to the door.

"No!" Elizabeth runs to the door and blocks it. "There is something you have to do here." She blurts out. "That's why you didn't go with William. Have to show you something. We have a job to do." She explains. I roll my eyes, but agree to go along with this little plan. "Thank you. I will go get you some dinner then I will take you to the room with the stake chipper." She says over her shoulder while walking out the door. I hear a click and I know she locked me in. I grunt out loud annoyed with this whole situation. Something doesn't quite fit in here. William claims to love Elizabeth and now he wants to help us basically defeat his own father and take away his future crown. The door swings open and Elizabeth returns with food for both of us. We eat quickly then out to find this wood chipper I saw the other day. Elizabeth walks a few steps ahead of me and we don't speak. We don't pass anyone until we get to the actual door itself. There is one vampire outside the door. Elizabeth sees him and smirks slightly. "Oh Jonathan! I'm so glad I found you. Jenny, the head maid, is looking for you. Something about some dessert you requested the other day or something another." She exclaims. "Thank you Elizabeth!" He yells over his shoulder while heading to I presume the kitchen. Once he is out of ear shot she chuckles. "He has always been kind, and he loves his sweets."

We enter the room and I finally see the weird metal box completely. It is larger than I thought. There is an opening where I presume wood goes and then on the other side there is a huge pile of wood chips covering half the floor. "Ok so they are destroying all the stakes because they know it can kill them." I muse out loud. "The stakes don't kill them, Caroline. Whoever has a stake that is dipped in vampires blood that was shed willingly can control any vampire around them. The only way for a vampire to die is to have their heart ripped out of their chest." She finishes paling a little bit. I assume because she does not like to think of death. "So you are saying we can control them with a stake and some blood? How many vampires? How long does it last?" I fire question after question at them. The excitement building fast inside of me this is exactly what we need to win. If we have a way of controlling them we can stop them before they harm anyone. "Caroline, calm down!" Elizabeth yells stopping me from pacing back in forth in excitement I must have been thinking out loud. "Each stake can control about ten vampires at one time. All it needs is to be dipped in blood once and it will be good forever." She explains calmly. "Okay, so I can tell they are destroying all the stakes that are already made, but we can just make more. They are facing a losing battle right?" I asked kinda confused. "Kinda. You see it can be any kind of wood all that really matters is the blood. It has to be given willingly. So that is where William comes into the plan. He will be giving us the blood we need we will need. I already have the blood hidden in the servant tunnels. He has been willingly taking blood from himself for months now. He wanted to make sure we had enough to go around to the entire number of soldiers."

"Okay so we have what we need when can we leave?" I ask ready to get out of here. "Tonight, at the stroke of midnight." I nod in response, but then think of something. "Why did William tell me not to leave the castle?" I ask my suspicion back full force. "He just meant till you had learned what you needed to from me. We will both leave together tonight. I will come for you. The plan had to change we will grab the blood and go to your village." She replied quickly over her shoulder while leaving the room motioning with her hand for me to follow. She deposited me in my room and left promising to return right before midnight. I want to believe this will really work, but something doesn't feel right. How did the plan change in the amount of time that has passed since William left?

***William's Point of View***

"Wait; before you say anything else hold on." Craig says towards me and then turns toward Allison who is still sipping out of the canteen I gave her. "Go back to our tent, sweetie. If you are hungry stop by the food shelter first." He says hesitantly I was confused as to why, but then I found out. Allison's face grew red so fast I didn't think it was possible. "What do you mean go back to the tent?" she yells her voice getting higher. "I was the one who found William. If it wasn't for me you wouldn't even know the plan was leaked." Her voice is getting louder every second. If I wasn't so busy be surprised that this little thing could be this angry I probably would have that it was comical. "Sweet heart, you are only fourteen. I don't want you involved. You are not ready to be involved. Now go back." He orders his voice a little harder this time. "Danny, tell him that I can handle this!" She implores her brother who just shakes his head sadly. She doesn't wait for his response before screaming in frustration and then spins around taking off towards their tent I assume.

Craig sighs and surprising chuckles as she storms away clearly not happy. The duo opposite me looks at one another and at the same time they speak. "Another Caroline." Causing them to both laugh. I glance between them confused until Craig explains. "That was almost the exact conversation we had with Caroline when she was younger." He says fondly. "Now tell us what you think will help us win this fight." He orders clearly in business mode now. I motion towards the stake on the ground and Daniel picks it up twirling it in his hands. "We are already working making stakes. We know that they kill you." Daniel scoffs while tossing the stake to the ground. "You are misinformed. Stakes do not kill us. They can control us though." I reply and both men scoff. I expected this. "Fine." I say while grabbing the stake and ramming it into my heart. Ouch, it may not kill me, but it still hurts like hell. Both men utter out curses caught off guard. "Okay not that I am still alive do you believe me?" I ask receiving nods from both of them and I quickly remove the stake. I will be back to normal in about two minutes top. "Now as I was saying. They can control us, IF they are dipped in vampire blood that is shed willing." I explain only to be greeted by confused glares from them both. "Okay another example then." I say while using the stake to slice a cut across my palm.

***Elizabeth's Point of View***

Right before he left William showed up in my room scaring me half to death. I was rolling around on the floor cuddling with Grr. He laughed at me for a good five minutes before he explained while he showed up when he is supposed to be leaving. "I'm sorry my love, it was just funny. What exactly were you doing?" He asked but saw my face and decided to drop it. "Anyway this is important. There is a change of plans. Instead of waiting for me to get back I need you and Caroline to escape tonight at midnight. I don't have time to explain. Jus trust me." he said while kissing my forehead before disappearing.
