Chapter Four

Nico's point of view

"First game, who knows you more, so how this game works is that we ask one question about a person then someone in the team has to reply with the time limit of 1 minuet if you get it right you get a point and if you don't or you run out of time you don't get a point." Great, don't know anything about people except Carmen, Will and Thalia.

"Ok" Leo said "how many languages can Carmen speak fluently, and name them all?" He asked I knew this one straight away putting my hand up.

"Five." I said "Latin, French, Spanish, and Italian and of course English." Everyone looked at Carmen in disbelief Correct Leo said.

"Cosa state guardando ragazzi?"(What are you guys looking at?) She asked in Italian, I laughed knowing I was the only one to understand her

"Idioti, ho a che fare con idioti." (Idiots I am dealing with idiots) she said with a smile this made me burst out in laughter, everyone was staring at us, it was hilarious.

"Just ignore them." Leo said, turning away from the conversations, understanding bits of, since he could speak Spanish.

"Ti dice." (Says you) I said making Carmen laugh as I said it with mocking face, everyone just stared at us like crazed idiots.

"Just speaking Italian." I said. Then everyone turned back to the game.

"Now what is Leo's favourite animal?" Carmen asked Frank put his hand up

"A dragon," he said.

"Correct." said Carmen "one point to each team next up is Hazel and Jason."

"Ok" Leo says "what is Jason's favorite superhero?" Percy put his hand up.

"Easy he said superman because he think he resembles him, and because he apparently has the best powers." Percy said easily Jason rolled his eyes

"First of all, I never said I looked like him I said that out of everyone I looked most like him, and what you still think that Aqua man is the best, but that only because you like the water," now it was time for Percy to roll his eyes.

"Anyway what is hazel's favorite color she asked?"

Annabeth put her hand up before Frank so Leo picked her

"Gold right?" She asked.

"Correct" Carmen said "still tied next up is Nico and Grover."

What is Grover's brother called? Carmen asked no one knew the answer and Grover gave Carmen a confused look but stayed quiet

At last everyone was just shouting out random name desperate to win "wrong he doesn't have a brother" Carmen said with a cheeky smile

"Ha-ha very funny Carmen." Leo said with no laughter in his voice "how funny" he said again, now it was my turn for the question to be asked I wondered what it would be and if anyone could actually get it.

Before Leo had time to ask Carmen whispered a question into his ear Leo's looked surprised at her, and Carmen looked nervous, but she nodded her head at him, I was worried now.

"Ok next question what is Nico...sexual orientation?" he asked I looked at Carmen with disbelief she just gave me a reassuring smile at me like this was all part of her plan. I started freaking out, people were going to run, they would never want to talk to me again, why did Carmen do this to me, was she never my friend at all. I started sweating and squirming in my chair I wanted to leave now, I turned to Carmen she was nervously biting her nails and staring at me, why was she nervous? I was the one who should be worried. Will put his hand up, I knew he was going to tell them I gave him a look saying if he does I will kill him, he shrugged and answered.

"To easy he is Gay." he said with no fear I waited for the comments the whispering, but there was nothing, I looked at everyone in disbelief no one had a disgusted face on I was surprised. Then Percy spoke up.

"Nico it's alright this group is totally cool with it." He said

"Yeah Percy came out last year about being gay." Percy nodded I started in disbelief I didn't realise it would go like this, it made me feel so much more comfortable in this space. Carmen came up to me and gave me a hug. And whispered in my ear.

"If people don't accept you for who you are than they obviously aren't worth your time and love." she said and pulled back knowing I don't like a lot of contact. How could I be so stupid, why do you think she asked Leo to say that she knew that people would accept me, she was the best.

"That is correct and now we have Thalia and Frank." We got those questions right no one got what Will's middle name was so that means we were tied. The last two were Percy and Piper if we got this right we would either tie or win. "

What is Percy's favorite movie?" Leo asked no one put their hand up it seemed no one knew then a flash back came back to me and I had an inkling of what it could be, I raised my hand testily because I knew if I got it wrong we would lose the game.

"Nico?" Carmen say more like a question and raised her eyebrows.

"Is it Finding Nemo?" I asked.

"Correct" Leo said confused.

"How did you know that?" Percy asked

"Umm...well on our first interaction in 9th grade when you bumped my books out of my hand I saw that most of your stuff was decorated with Nemo and well I just kind of thought you like the ocean maybe you liked Finding Nemo." I said trying to be dismissive like it was obvious and not like I studied his books every lesson I had with him.

"Oh." Percy said "good memory that was ages ago. "I blushed

"Well um yeah I guessed"

"Anyway." Carmen said getting the attention of me let's see if people remember "Piper's first Boyfriend?" Carmen asked no one could remember Piper was beautiful meaning she had dated a lot of boys after the minute was up.

"Come on guys it was Jason. Remember we ended it on good terms saying we felt more like sister and brother relationship" and everyone turned to Jason who had cocky smile on thinking that he had known the whole time and he had found it amusing to watch. Piper huffed and Carmen's team cheered and Carmen jumped on Leo's back laughing and boasting on how she had won, I felt excited I guess, I mean I love winning but I couldn't help staring at a certain Percy Jackson. That was when Carmen started up the music and people started dancing. And everyone clapped along to the song everyone was dancing and it was so much fun I danced with Carmen until Jason came over to ask to dance, she blushed so much and I pushed her forward, they were so cute!

Then I saw Percy just sitting and eating and I went over, working up the courage to talk to him,

"Hey." I said.

"Hey." He said, we just kind of sat in an awkward silence. I looked around the room and everyone was dancing with someone we were the only ones left. I turned to him and he was blushing about something. He then suddenly blurted out something but I couldn't hear it over the music

"Sorry, what did you say," he blushed deeper.

"Would...y...you like to dance with me?" He said quickly I blushed hard, he was asking me to dance. He must have taken my silence as confusion.

"You know just as friends we are the only ones not dancing after all." He said and gazed out at the rest of our friends.

"sure." I said trying not to blush. This was a time when I got to dance with THE PERCY JACKSON! We just kind of bobbed to the music at one point he wrapped his arms around my waist and I wrapped my arms around his neck, I took a deep breath breathing in his scent he smelled like the sea.

But of course the moment had to end, as people started to leave at around 9:00 but as I was staying I just ate the food. After they had left Carmen told me that Leo and Percy were settling down for a movie I reminded her of our deal and she gathered blankets and pillows and some more food Carmen and Leo sat down on the couch and I sat down on the floor and Percy sat next to me. This was turning out to be the best night of my life I chose a movie and we all started watching after the credits started rolling we jumped around on the couch and started throwing popcorn at everyone. We settled down with another movie that was picked by Leo but we were so tired we started drifting off to sleep.
