The Beginning

Phoebe.

I was falling. Fast. I was losing height. My eyes were closed,scared to see how hard I'll fall. I was screaming. Very loudly, may I add.

I woke up sweating and panting. Ever since these dreams started,I've been waking up all sweaty. I got up and got dressed in a blue shirt with reddish skinny jeans.

"Hurry up Pheebs we're going to be late!" My younger brother Donovan called out from the bottom of the stairs.

"Shut it Donovan. I'm coming!" I heard Donovan mocking me. "Your driving me to school you know that right?"

"I'm going to leave you if you don't hurry!"I rolled my eyes and walked down the stairs.

"Is Carol up yet?" I asked Donovan as I put my hair in a ponytail. Donovan shook his head.

"You don't hear her snoring?" Donovan asked chuckling to himself. I started laughing. Carol is Don and I's legal guardian. Our parents are most likely alive but don't give a sh*t about us.

"Now c'mon let's go!" I said grabbing my stuff and getting into Donovan's Rolls Royce.

"So how are you and Erik doing. " Donovan asked trying to make conversation. I shrugged. At this point I really don't know.

"He's a good boyfriend but he's too perfect. Too predictable y'know?" I told him the truth. Donovan nodded understandingly. "So how are you and Julissa doing?" Donovan tensed up.

"We're perfectly fine. "He said through clenched teeth. I knew something was wrong.

"C'mon Don. Tell me what's wrong. You can tell me anything." I said convincing him. He sighed.

"Julissa cheated on me." He muttered. My eyes widened.

"SHE WHAT?! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH HER! WHO WOULD-"I began to rant before Donovan interrupted.

"She cheated on him with Erik." He muttered even quieter than before. I became silent. I knew Erik was unfaithful. I loved him so I never broke up with him or tell him I knew. It just hurts when I hear he cheated. I feel sorry for Donovan. This is the first time Julissa cheated on him.

"It's ok Don. I know Erik isn't the most faithful. " I said when i finally spoke up. Donovan looked at me with anger. When we stopped at a stoplight, he pounded his fist into the steering wheel activating the horn.

"Damn it Phoebe! Why do you stay with him.?"He asked me. Tears ere stinging my eyes.

"I love him-"I started.

"He doesn't deserve you Phoebe! Why can't you see that?!"Donovan said as we pulled into the school driveway.

"We are perfect together. "I responded firmly, holding back the tears threatening to come out. Krista ran up to me.

"Ahh!There is a new guy!He's so hot!His name is Harry!You should totes dump Erik for Harry!You and Harry would be a dream couple!I have already planned You and Harry's wed-"I interrupted her by putting my hand over her mouth.

"Calm down. Who's Harry again?"I can't understand Krista sometimes.

"The hot new guy! Duh!"Krista said.

Me and Krista made our way to our classes.

"Bye Krissy!" I said as I went into my first period class, History.

I sat in the middle of the class. The desk next to mine was empty. Mr.Sams started talking.

"We have a new student. His name is Harry Styles. Harry?" He said and the new kid, named Harry, walked in. "You can sit next to Ms.Davis, Mr.Styles. "Harry sat down next to me. I gave him a friendly smile. He didn't smile back.

I introduced myself,"Hi I'm Phoebe!" Harry remained quiet. What's his problem?

Mr.Sams began talking again, "Ok class, we have a major project to do! You know how we learned about the wars? Well, you guys are required to do a project on the pros and cons of war. You have to have the pros on a poster and cons on a PowerPoint. "

The class groaned. This project seemed hard.

"The person sitting next to you will be your partner. "Mr.Sams added getting him some cheers and some boos. I hid my smile. This will give me a chance to get to know the Mysterious Harry Styles. The rest of the day went by quickly. When I exited school, I saw something I wish I didn't...
