Chapter Seventeen

**Time jump of two years**
Logan's POV

I've been home for a total of four years now and married to Alex for two. Wade just turned eight and Annabeth was two already!! I recently booked a job for another movie and Alex has been doing photoshoots here and there. It's been nice to work again but still be mostly a full time parent.
Recently we had been invited to the Ellen show. I know Alex was nervous about going public with the kids but I think we were ready. We've already been posting some photo's of them off and on on social media anyway.
         We had recently just gotten to the hotel which was just a few minutes down the road from Ellen's studio. Our interview was scheduled for tomorrow at noon.
"Mom I wanna go swimming in the pool downstairs!" Wade said once we got everything situated in the hotel
"we will sweetie. Let Dad and I get our stuff out first" Alex said
We got our suitcases unpacked and got our outfits out for tomorrow and then we all changed into our swimsuits. We went downstairs to where the swimming pool is and I played with Wade while Alex held Annabeth in the water. Wade recently learned how to swim not too long ago so he's wanted to live in the water.
After we played in the water I took a turn and watched both of the kids as Alex relaxed in the hot tub. It was around eight thirty now so we all went back to the hotel room and ordered a pizza from room service. It was a late night for Wade as he was usually in bed by eight so as soon as he ate his dinner. Recently he learned how to take a shower by himself so he rinsed off before going to bed
"hey Wade you sure you don't need help?" Alex asked him
"no Mom, I'm fine!" he said
"okay. Put a towel down on the floor so you don't fall when you get out. The soap is in my bag on the floor" she said
"okay!!" he said
"I'm not used to him being so independent. He sort of grew up all of a sudden" she said
"they grow up fast" I said
"yea they sure do" she said
"I'm gonna let Annabeth have a snack while Wade's in the shower. Just make sure he doesn't fall or something" she said
"he'll be fine Alex" I said
"you still stressed about tomorrow?" I asked her as I sat on the bed beside her
"a little... I mean, I haven't done an interview since Percy Jackson so that was over ten years ago" she said
"we'll be fine. The fans have all been super supportive of us, and the kids will be great" I said
"you've done such an amazing job with Wade. He's so kind and polite" I said
"you've helped too" she said
We sat on the bed and Annabeth ate her goldfish and then Wade came out with a towel on to get his pajama's
"hurry up mister it's getting late" Alex said
"I'm almost done!" he said
"okay" she said
It was now around quarter to nine and the kids were ready for bed. Wade got to sleep in the other king sized bed and Annabeth still slept in the crib we brought her. Both kids slept through the night which was good. Alex and I went to bed not long after that as we wanted to get sleep before the interview
"try to get some sleep" I said to her as we got into bed

The next morning we'd set the alarm for eight. We got the kids up and got them ready and then got dressed ourselves. I just wore a nice suit and Alex wore a dress. Wade had on a suit as well and Annabeth had on a small sundress.
We ate breakfast in the hotel downstairs and we were recognized by a few fans. All the our fans were a lot of young girls but they were so polite and nice.
"oh my gosh! I can't believe we're finally meeting you guys, we've been fans since Percy Jackson!" one girl said
"oh wow! Really? That's so cool!" Alex said
"we love watching you guys on social media! Your kids are adorable" she said
"aww thank you!" Alex said smiling
"can we get a picture with you guys?" the girl asked
"sure! I think Wade is off getting breakfast somewhere if you wanted him in the photo" Alex said
"oh just you two is fine" the girl said
We took some pictures and the girls thanked us again.
"Mom I can't get the waffle machine to work" Wade said as he came back over to us
"let's take a look buddy" I said
"let's open it up and start over" Alex said
"pour the batter in a cup, but don't spill it please" she said
"now it says pour it on here" she said
"why don't I do it. You're not quite tall enough yet" she said
Wade handed the cup to Alex and we finally got breakfast made and we all sat down
"those girls were sweet" Alex said
"I bet most of our audience is screaming girls" I said
"probably, and all girls at some point who wanted you to marry them" she laughed
"too bad, I'm yours now" I said
We finished breakfast which was just some eggs and waffles and then we took a taxi to the studio. It was now around eleven so we were getting there right on time since Ellen wanted us there an hour early.
We took turns holding Annabeth while we got our mics on and got ready
"Wade stop playing with your mic" Alex said
"but it's bothering me" he said
"just please leave it alone and behave today. I'm nervous enough" she said
"if you behave we'll buy you a new truck set" she said
"fine" he said
        Alex was finishing fixing her hair in the mirror when there was a knock on the door
"well isn't this a beautiful family picture!" Ellen said
"you two must be Alexandra and Logan" she said
"nice to meet you" we both said as we shook her hand
"now do you go by Alexandra or Alex?" Ellen asked
"either one is fine but usually people call me Alex" she said
"okay! And who are these two cuties?" Ellen asked
"this is our two year old, Annabeth" Alex said
"and Wade can you come here and say hello?" Alex said
"hi you must be Wade" Ellen said
"Wade this is Ellen, remember the lady we told you about?" Alex said
"hi! I watched your videos, you were hilarious" Wade said
"well thank you!" she said
"we showed him your 'Game of Games videos" Alex said
"oh yea - we have fun on there! Maybe when your older you Mom and Dad will let you play" Ellen said
"that would be so cool!" he said
"we're ready for you guys whenever you're ready" Ellen said
"thank you" Alex said
"take your time. I know it's hard with two little ones" Ellen said
"you ready?" I said to Alex
"yea I guess so" she said
"just relax and be yourself. We'll be fine" I said
       We stood together and Wade was in between us as we waited to be called out

I know, I don't normally do cliff hanger's! But this chapter would've been too long otherwise. I am working on the next one, so update will be soon!!
