As I walked down the dimly lit sidewalk by Mystic Grill he was the only thing on my mind. I had been walking around town without a destination for hours now. It’s been like this for exactly two months now, him gone, me here. It was so sudden, like he was here one day and the next he just… wasn’t. Anxiety began to flood my mind, filling my brain with the worst possible scenarios. What if something happened? What if he’s never coming back?
I mean a lot of things can happen in two months. Maybe he found a new best friend… or you know a girlfriend….in, what was the stupid town? Oh that's right. "Beacon Hills."
I don’t know much about the town besides what Google provided me. Pretty much all of it was just concerning the abundance of mysterious deaths, which obviously leads to the presence supernaturals. As a Bennett witch I probably should’ve known about such a hub of supernatural activity considering I live in Mystic Falls… like seriously, I can’t believe it took me that long.
Either the humans are idiots or are compelled. Still haven't decided yet. I can’t help but wonder if there are any witches or vampires in Beacon Hills considering nothing suggested that the deaths were caused by drainage of blood but rather claw marks and ripped flesh. In other words, werewolves. It had to be. It's extremely rare for werewolves to be in California rather than the southern states, but I have a few theories.
When he left to go to California he knew that I had abilities most people didn't but nothing else. I checked my surroundings. I was in the forest now. It felt like my brain was being pierced by needles and for one second, one split second I saw him.
I saw him.
Lying on road.
Dead.
Garrett was dead.
