Its been to weeks since Peeta asked me out. Right now we are in math class and I'm sitting next to Peeta watching him little bits of scrunched paper at the back of Gale head. Occasionally Gale will turn around and glare at him or throw them back. "Mr Mellark what are you doing!" Shrieks Effie. Doesn't mind us calling her that."umm... Nothing Miss i promise" he slouches back in his seat and puts his arm behind the back of my chair."last warning mellark or it afternoon detention for you"she turns back to the board and continues writing. "That was close peeta, you should stop because i want to take you shopping this afternoon, and yes i know you hate shoping but i promise it will be fun" he looks at me weird but shrugs it off. It peetas birthday on the weekend and its thursday so im going to get him a early present because it my pay day today. And yes i got a job at the gym and i just supervise for now and pack away equipment and set things up but it gives me enough money for now. "Kat do we have to go shopping cause seriously its a girls thing and clearly im not a girl and plus me and the boys were going to go surfing this afternoon" he gives me puppy dog eyes but i ignore them." That reminds, the girls are coming and they are bringing the boys so.. No surfing for you" i stick my tongue out at him and he just pouts and writes the rest of the stuff down thats on the board.
~time skip to after school~
I see annie leaning against her car waiting for everyone so i grab peetas hand and drag him to her car."hey ann, what ya doin" i say hugging her. " Ohh nothing much just waiting for everyone to come, have you seen finnick around". "yeah annie he was at the front of the office" peeta says. "He probably got sent out of class" speaking of the devil finnick runs up behind us panting." Hey loverboy did you get detention today" finnick asks "no finnick but i was close, why do you wanna know anyways?" Peeta questions him. "Well i have detention tomorrow after school and i don't have a detention buddy to keep me company" he says. "Ok honeybun i will get a detention for you my love" peeta say grabbing finnicks hand and kissing it. "Thanks babe!" Finnick say in his gay voice and he jumps on peetas back and peeta gives him a piggy back ride to his car." I think you have just lost your boyfriend" annie says shaking her head at their stupidity. "Ya think" i say walking to peetas car. I came with peeta today because i couldnt be bothered driving this morning. "Come on peeta we are going, goodbye finnick" i say pulling finnick off peeta. "But whyyy!" Finnick whines like a five year old. "You will see him after ok you won't die, ok now bye" i quickly get in the car and tell peeta to start the car. Finnick stands there fake crying while annie is trying to pull him back to the car. The car ride was silent until thinking out loud came by ed sheeran came on.

"Wow you are good!" Peeta coments. "Nah not really, i just really love that song and had to sing" i say. Me and my dad use to sing all the time but him and mum divorced and then we never really seen him much after that. We arrive at the mall and i see the gang except annie and finnick. Annie and finnick pull up straight after. we walk in and go straight to Hollister. The girls buy a few things in there then we go to cotton on, supré and a few more. After we go to the food court cause finnick and cato are hungry. "Doughnuts!!" They yell in unison. Peeta buys some mini doughnuts and we both share them. "After this lets go to forever 21 then we can go home" suggest glimmer cause she has to go there every time we come here. "yeah lets do it" i say looking at the rest. I get a chorus of oks and yeahs except from the boys. "Yous coming?" I ask them. "Nah you girls go i will go put the bags in the car"peeta says and all the boys agree with him and take the girls bags. We walk our separate ways and go to forever 21. I find this really cute dress. It white lace and goes to my knees and i buy a gold belt to match with gold coloured sandals. All the other girls buy their stuff and we head out. "The boys didnt come back from the cars, i wonder where they are its been 20 minutes" says clove. " They are probably waiting for us at the car" says johanna. "So kat what did you get for peetas birthday" SHIT."Shit i forgot to buy something i will be back". I quickly run in the jewellery shop and find a necklace with a rectangle locket thing to put photos in. I think that will do. I meet the girls out side the shop and we walk out side the mall. I look around and smell cigarettes.Yuck ugh. I look at the smokers area and see a blonde hair boy with his backed turned with a bunch of guys which look familiar. Then i realise who it is. No fucking way. Thats not peeta is it. It better not be. "Omfg is that the boys over there!" I say pointing to the smokers area. "Fuck that is them, finnick is in so much trouble!" Annie must be pissed because she hardly ever swears. "So is cato!" Says clove. I march up to them and tap peetas shoulder. He puts that dirty smoke in his mouth and turns around and nearly chokes when he sees me and put the smoke behind his back quickly and so do the others. "Katniss what are you doing here!" He says surprised. "Whats that behind your back peeta" i says folding my arms expecting a answer. "Nothing kat go back to the car" he says. Seriously he thinks I'm that dumb that i can't smell it. "Peeta what are you doing in the smokers area you don't smoke" "its just shady here hey boys" they all nod. I grab his arm and bring to in front of him revealing the cigarette. "Peeta what.the.fuck is that!" "kat.." "No throw it away now and get in the car and take me home now!!" I say and stomp back to the car. Peeta runs after me hot on my heels. I jump in the car and ignore him all the way home. He pulls up in front of my house and gets my stuff out and i snatch them off him." Kat come on.." "No peeta no.. I just dont want to talk about it now ok!" I say and walk inside. When i get in side i go up stairs into my room and drop my bags. I lean against the wall then slide down. How could he lie to me about this. How long has it been going for? Question keep running through my head. Why?
