The minute I stepped into the bunker I was awe stricken, this place was amazing. It had the smell of old books and the scent that I associate with Dean and Sam; gun oil and masculinity. It was a bit overwhelming when I met the rest of Dean and Sam's family, however Lacey seemed nice and the other two were a bit standoffish. I've never met an angel before but it would make sense that they would take things literal, after all they were in heaven before the boys broke the last seal and all the angels fell.
When Dean led me to that room I knew it was his as it held the smell of Dean and again gun oil. My stomach growled even though I wanted to try out the awesome bed with Dean. I couldn't remember the last time I actually ate, maybe yesterday or the day before. When I'm working on a case I'm so focussed, I barely remember to drink water to keep myself hydrated. Dean led me back to the table where Lacey and Sam were laying out food, and boy did it smell good. I had bought my briefcase out to look at the crime scene photos but looking at the pregnant Lacey I didn't think it was such a good idea. So I put the briefcase by my feet while we sat down to eat.
"Oh my god this is amazing Lacey." I said after my third tortilla, I was so hungry.
"Diolch." She said and I looked at her strangely, "it means thanks in welsh. That's where I'm from Wales in the UK." I nodded she had a strange accent but it suited her.
"So how did you and Sam meet?" I asked, "Wales is a bit far from America." She smiled at Sammy who grabbed her hand and kissed it,
"We were in college together and reconciled about a year ago when I was working a case." She said before patting her stomach,
"Then this little bundle decided that it was going to appear whether we wanted it or not."
"Sometimes things happen for a reason." Sammy said as he rubbed Lacey's stomach. "I'm not questioning it." He said as he smiled,
"So Arcadia what about you? Are you sticking around for good?" I looked at Dean, who was looking at me with his gorgeous green eyes,
"That's up to Dean I guess." I said before grabbing the briefcase from my feet. Now I had eaten we really needed to figure out why witches were summoning demons, if they actually were although evidence suggested otherwise. Laying all the pictures out on the table with a big map on I tried to study them from an outside perspective. But I just could not figure out what I was seeing. Evidence suggested that witches were summoning demons but I could not find any mention of the victims being associated with witchcraft. Also there was no smell of sulphur at the properties. Putting my laptop on the table I fired it up before looking for the blueprints of the homes so I could mark out where we found the hex bags. Once I found them I saved them onto the hard drive so I could mark them off using a drawing software.
"Victim number one was found here," I pointed to the dining room on the blueprint and mark it off with a B, "I found the five hex bags in these spots." Which got marked with the letter H. I started drawing lines using the mouse on the page joining together the hex bag points. "Huh?"
"What is it?" Dean said from beside me making me jump, I didn't know he was stood so close. Turning the page so the front door is on the bottom of the screen I showed them
"It's an upside down pentagram." I looked at Dean, "I don't think we are dealing with witches." I said before I opened up the second blueprint. Everyone was quiet and when I looked up everyone was looking at the case file pictures.
"Well what are we dealing with?" Sammy said from beside Lacey,
"Not what, who?" I looked up at them. "I need to research this, let me check a few things." Sammy gave Lacey a kiss on the head.
"Go to bed this is going to be a long night." She nodded before kissing him back. Before she left she came over to give me a hug,
"I'm glad I finally met you Arcadia." She said before whispering in my ear, "There is whiskey in the kitchen if you are interested." Before she disappeared down the corridor. Sam looked at me,
"So who are we looking for?" I turned to him
"1966, the church of Satan." I said before turning back to my laptop.
"Wait we are looking for Satanists?" Dean asked from beside me,
"Pretty much." I remarked, "these people are an organised religion but I've never heard of them doing human sacrifice, so I think we have some rogues, but Lucifer is still in the cage..."I heard a cough from behind me and turned to Cas, "isn't he?"
Cas looked up at me and turned away, "No he isn't, he is out but has limited grace." Dean and Sam looked at him dumbfounded,
"And you didn't tell us because?" Sam asked,
"Because he is not a threat anymore." I shook my head and laughed,
"Not a threat. He is Lucifer. And someone else knows he is out as I think these are being done for him."
"But killing girls wouldn't give him back his grace." Sam said,
"What are the girls' names?" Cas spoke up from the table. I looked back through my notes,
"Um Jemma Riggs and Karen Mayhill." I looked up at Cas, "why?"
He looked at me in shock, "They were angel vessels." He said before he disappeared in the sound of wings.
"I'm guessing that's not good?" I asked looking at Dean.
"Probably not." He answered. Picking up the case reports I started to pour through them for some clue.
