We left the house after finding more hex bags. Again no signs of EMF or sulphur but the mark that was on the first victim is on this one too.
As I stood onto the front porch my head started swimming. So I leaned heavily against the post as my legs felt like jelly.
"Are you ok Arcadia?" Sammy said from behind me,
"Yeah just felt a bit dizzy." I replied as I took uneven steps towards the car.
Just before I reached the car door my legs gave way and I found myself falling.
"Arcadia!" I heard Dean say before I was engulfed in blackness.
**
"Sammy what the hell?" I heard Dean talking and I knew I was in the car, my head on someone's lap. Immediately I smelt gun oil and the spicy scent that I associated with Dean. Groaning I felt Dean caress my face,
"Arcadia are you ok? You hit pretty hard back there." He stopped and laid a hand against my forehead, "shit!" He spat with feeling,
"What is it?" Sammy said from the front,
"She is burning up Sammy?" Even I could feel the sweat streaming along my skin,
"Dean." I said after several attempts to clear my throat. He leaned forward, "I think I'm going to throw up."
"Arcadia I love you but please I'm begging you, not in the car." I rolled my eyes up at him,
"Ok..." Yeah that didn't work.
"CAS." Dean yelled, pulling me back from unconsciousness. Papers were being moved before I was placed on a cold surface which felt good on my flushed skin. "CAS. Where is that asshat?"
"Dean." Our feathered friend asked from somewhere to my left,
"Cas help her?" He said tearfully. Feeling Cas lay his hands on me I waited for healing warmth however nothing happens,
"I can't." I turned my head and through bleary eyes I saw Dean grab Cas,
"What do you mean you can't?" Sammy pulled Dean off Cas who had raised his hands slightly in surrender,
"She is not sick. She is cursed," He remarked and I felt the bottom fall out of my world,
"Cursed," I croaked, "don't you need something of the person you want to curse?" I asked the boys,
"Yes; Arcadia are you missing anything?" Lifting me hand I realised something was gone when I noticed that the sleeve had slipped down.
"My bracelet." I said to them, "my bracelet is gone."
"Bracelet?" Dean asked, "What bracelet?"
"The one Jeremy and Kalli gave me. I always wear it except when I'm on a hunt." Laying back I remembered when I last saw it. "I had it on this morning."
"That little old lady!" Sam exclaimed, "The one that bumped you earlier."
"But why?" I asked,
"Because...we are a threat to them." Sammy turned as Jack appeared with a bowl of cool water an a flannel. He handed the cloth to Dean.
"How can we find her?" Dean asked as he put the cool cloth on my head.
"I can try." I turned my head and saw Jack still stood there, "if you will let me?" He looked at me.
"How will you do it?" I asked him carefully,
"I will lay hands on your head and hopefully I can trace the curse. It will hurt but I can try." I nodded and grabbed hold of Dean's hand.
"Ok." Jack walked towards me his hands already outstretched.
"Ready?" He asked before putting a hand on either side of my head. I felt a warm glow there but all of a sudden it began to feel like I was on fire. So I screamed,
"You're hurting her?" I heard Dean and felt him start to pull out of my hand but with what little strength I had, I kept a firm grip on him.
"No Dean don't let go of my hand." I said. Suddenly the pain stopped and I turn my head to the side. Dean was sat on the table by my shoulder. I turned my head into his leg and cried. I'm fed up of being strong; and that bloody hurt.
"I can find your bracelet. But we must hurry." Jack said,
"Ok you go with Sammy and Cas. I'll stay here with Arcadia." He leaned over and kissed me on the cheek.
