I woke to the sound of the engine purring beneath my ear and realised I was lying in the back of the impala. Looking around me I can see Dean driving but there is no music playing, this is not a good sign as Dean always had music playing in the impala. Slowly I sit up and tap Dean on the shoulder; he jumps slightly.

"Hey." I say quietly, he looks at me in the mirror; his green eyes looking defeated. His lips curve in a smile,

"Hey princess, how you feeling?" Rolling my shoulders, I clamber into the front seat next to him,

"I'm ok; I can't believe I fainted though." Grimacing I think of the situation. "Where are we going?" I need to change the subject and Dean seems to understand that.

"We are heading to Calvary Cemetery, southern Wyoming; but we need to pick up Sammy first." He says wrapping his arm around me,

"Oh why?" Snuggling in I ask him quietly,

"Because that's where the ritual is going to take place to give Lucy back his juice."

Looking out the window I sigh,

"Well shit."

It didn't take long to reach the bunker and pick up Sam. After saying goodbye to Lacey and Jack; who is staying with her, we pile into the car. Dean and I did have an argument about me coming but at the end of the day this is my job, however I can't let what the demon said distract me. If there is a problem, I will cross that bridge when I come to it and not before.

Now I'm sitting back and enjoying the scenery go by, it is about a 12-hour drive to the devil's gate. Hopefully we can stop for the night as I feel really tired and exhausted; the last couple of days have taken their toll on me. Because I was so tired, I let Sam sit upfront while I try and drift off to sleep.

"Is she sleeping?" In my dream like state I can hear Dean ask Sam. When Sam shifts in his seat I can tell he has turned around to look in the back.

"I think so." He shifts again in his seat, "what happened at the medical centre, she looked paler than when you guys left?"

"She went to see a doctor for something, but it was a demon wearing a doctor's meat suit." He says wearily, "He gave her something, but since it was a demon, we don't know what was in the pill."

"What did she need a pill f...oh." Sam realises what his big brother means. "You mean you and her this morning... Dean I know you are my big brother but that was a bit reckless even for you?" Dean coughs slightly,

"I know but now we do not know what the demons have in store. It said that Cas knew but before I could ask him Arcadia fainted, once she was in the car he disappeared." He sighs again, "what if she ends up pregnant and this demon has done something hinky to her and our baby." I feel the car pull over and he puts it into park. The doors open and I feel the chilled air flow in the car before they close with a squeak and a bang. Slowly I lift myself up to look out the window and open it a crack so I can hear what they are saying,

"Sammy, I don't know what to do?" I'm shocked to see him start crying and Sam pulls him into a hug,

"Dean whatever happens we will deal with it. We always do." Laying my head back down I can feel the tears in my eyes,

"Don't tell her Sammy. What we talk about now she can never know." Biting my fist, I turn my head towards the back of the seat so he can't see my tears, as I can hear them coming back to the car with the gravel crunching under their boots.

"Let me drive Dean; you need to sleep so I'll find the nearest motel and we can crash." I do not see if Dean has given up the keys to Sam as I let myself fall into a restless sleep.

Opening my eyes, I can feel myself being lifted from the car; the smell of Dean fills my senses and I know that in his arms I will forever be safe. My ears pick out the hushed sound of traffic passing along a far-off highway and the opening of a wooden door as Sam enters the motel room. The room smells of roses and violets; not the nicest combination I can think of, however the bed is soft as Dean lays me down after Sam has pulled back the blankets. Pulling off my own boots he tucks me in before kissing me on the forehead. The bed shifts as he lies down behind me, circling me in his strong arms. It's not long until I'm drifting off into the abyss of sleep.
