Girlfriends

They sat in silence for awhile. Guilt on Neveah, tears coming out of Valentine's eyes as she went over the story in her head, Serenity trying to comfort her.
Nev got up then knelt in front of Val, "I'm sorry for leaving Val.. believe me when I say I didn't want to leave you. You could stay here, with me. You could meet all the friends I made, become a part of the band.." Nev softly held Val's hands in hers.
Val held Nev's hands tightly, "What about my friends? They are-.. villains. Like me. If we showed up in public they would take us away.."
"I'm not leaving you behind again. Just stay with me please? I want another chance.." Nev looked down at their hands expecting her to say no.
Serenity rolled her eyes, "Oh come on, I've read enough love stories to know what you two are feeling." Serenity lifted Nev's head back up then made them kiss, "I now pronounce you girlfriends."
They both blushes madly and pulled away. Nev scratched the back of her head nervously, Val made tiny screeching noises and shook Serenity's arm. "WHAT WAS THAT? Xhsigwicie"
"Calm downnn, I'll tell your ex girlfriends." She got up and headed out the door.
They both stared at each other mystified and  Nev spoke with a confused voice, "You have a girlfriend?"
"Well yeah- you're my girlfriend."
"I mean like, your ex girlfriend??"
"Oh, Amber. The one that scratched your girlfriend, Jaelyn I think it was?- well she scratched her eye out."
"Oh geez- we really have to talk about your type."
Serenity made a cheeky smile at them through the doorway, "You two just agreed you're dating."
Nev turned around and stuck her tongue out at Serenity as she left, Val giggled then turned Nev back to her and gave her a gentle kiss.
Nev blushed a soft pink, "We should probably go after her."
"You're probably right." Val got up and pulled Nev by her hand out the door.
They heard Serenity's voice in the dinning room, they entered together and saw almost everyone sitting at the table.
Blaine had decided to come in after hearing the conversation through the earbud, but he was hanging off the ceiling beams.
Blaine gave Val a warm smile as she entered holding Nev's hand, she smiled back happy that Blaine accepted the change.
Jaelyn's eye socket was bandaged, she sat next to Maria while Maria had a staring contest with Amber across the table.
Morgan was curled in a ball on the floor, leaning against a wall while watching everybody.
Neveah gave Val a small forehead kiss before going over to sit down.
Val sat down quietly next to Nev when Serenity spoke loudly, "I HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT." The small chatter and awkwardness was broken, Serenity smiled wide. "Neveah and Valentine are now officially dating by my word."
Jaelyn slammed her hands down on the table and stood up, "DATING??! Um I think you're mistaken ME and NEVEAH are dating."
"Well deal with it, Valentine has been in love with her for a hella long time and tried to get over her by dating Amber. Neveah didn't disagree with it so I'm assuming she did the same to you."
Jaelyn then laid back as she stared at Nev and Serenity in disbelief, a small voice spoke up, "You're leaving us?.."
Some people turned to the voice, it was Morgan. Tears were dripping out of her eyes, "I was right.. you promised you wouldn't leave Neveah."
Nev stood up, "No Morgan it's not like that-" Morgan left the room crying, her wings were deep blues with tiny streaks of red.
Jaelyn narrowed her eyes at Nev, then left after Morgan. Maria sighed, "I'll go check on them." She left quickly.
Val looked over at Amber, hoping she wouldn't react like Morgan and Jaelyn did. Amber looked back at her and smiled, "Well I'm happy that you are."
Val calmed down a bit smiling back, "thanks."
