Chapter Sixteen

Waking up in complete darkness the pain on the left side of my body was unbearable and I just wanted to cry because of how intense the pain was. It was like breaking a toe and have ten teeth pulled without novocaine. It was unbearably painful.

"You're up."

Sitting up slowly I noticed the same black haired girl from before and immediately had my guard up. "What did you do to me? Why did you bring me here?" I was firing questions at her quick because I wanted answers as to why I was in this cave and not with my family.

"Relax. I brought you here to talk." She says.

I looked at her "what could we possibly have to talk about?" I asked. "Lauren." She said simply. "What about here?" I asked quickly. "What did you do?" I was ready to attack her even though I knew she would probably win because I was in so much pain but that didn't matter if she had hurts Lauren.

She hold her hand up to stop me from making a move. "Relax. Your mate is fine." She says. "Then why do we need to talk about her?" I asked. She looks at me, her once brown eyes turning light blue in color. "When Shawn bit and turned her I was summoned." She paused for a second as she brings something up. "I was summoned by his dark forces to control Lauren and tell her what to do in order to unlock the dark magic that's deep within her blood." She tells me.

"But Lauren isn't a rouge. She's just a hybrid." I said. "So why are you still here?"

The girl nodded "yes that's true but I'm still here because she still has a lot to learn about her dark bloodline." She tells me. "Because if she doesn't she may implode on herself from holding all that dark magic inside of her." I was very confused at this point because as far as I knew Lauren came from two light magic witches so I was sure she doesn't have any dark magic in her. "How is that even possible if she come from witches with light magic?" I asked.

The girl laughed in disbelief as she looks at me. "Who told you that," she shook her head. "Lauren Jauregui comes from a long line of dark magic. Her mother was one of the most powerful dark witches to walk this earth and Lauren is quickly following behind her." She tells me. I looked at her with wide eyes because I couldn't believe that Lauren had dark magic in her. I mean how couldn't I have not know something like that, but this makes me wonder. Does she even know?
