Chapter Fourteen

Being turned into a vampire/witch hybrid was not something I thought would ever happen to me but unfortunately Shawn was the one who turned me and well here I am.

"Lo why aren't you under Shawn's spell and out to kill me and everyone else?" Dinah asked.

I chuckled "I'm not stupid the minute he cornered me I whispered an incantation to myself that would protect me from his infectious bite." I explained. She nods "but he still bit and turned you, how?" She questions again. "The incantation only works to stop the infection. It doesn't work to stop me from turning." I told her.

Dinah hums "so his bite was like a regular vampire biting and turning you?" I nodded "yeah and that also explains why his spell didn't work and turn me full vampire." I told her. Dinah nodded as she holds my hand "so how are you feeling babe?" She asks carefully. I shrugged "besides my gums still hurting and my craving for all things bloody. I'm doing pretty well." I told her.

"And you still have your magic?" She asked.

I giggled as I made roses appear around us. "Of course I do." I told her. Dinah smiles as she takes my hand and leads me outside where Normani, Ally and the others are. The minute I got closer to the group one of the vampires lunged and attacked me. Although I'm pretty sure they were meant to tackle me but was unsuccessful doing so.

"Lani what are you doing?" Dinah asked.

The girl looks at her. "Protecting you from this rouge." She says. "I mean she is a rouge right?" I shook my head "I am not. His bite didn't work on me." I told her. She tilts her head as she narrows her eyes at me. "How can I trust you?" She asked. I stepped closer to her "because if I was a rouge all of this would be gone." I told her. She nods "I suppose that you're right." She says. I smiled "in glad that we agree."

Walking back inside Camila appeared in front of me with her fangs popping out from her gums. "Since Shawn's idea didn't work I'm here to finish the job and kill you myself." She growls as she ran towards me.

Once again using my magic I stopped her in her tracks. Of course that just made her more angry but I needed to stop her. Sighing softly I walked towards her where she grabs my arms but that didn't affect me. "I know we don't know each other but I need to know Shawn's plan when he comes back?" I asked, looking deeply in her eyes. She blinks "he's planning on poisoning the wolf pack and turning them into their wolf form permanently so he can use them to attack you guys." She said. I nodded "and when is he planning on doing this?" I asked again.

"Tomorrow night when everyone is asleep." She said.

I nodded before releasing her and walking away to go find Dinah. "Shawn's planning an attack on the wolf pack." I told her. Dinah nods as she looks at me. "How do you know?" She  asked. "Camila told me. I just looked into her eyes and asked her questions that she willingly answered." I told her. She looked at me with wide eyes "you compiled her." She whispers.

I tilted my head "what does that mean?" I asked. "You hypnotized the truth out of her basically." She explains. I nodded "so what do we do now?" I asked. Dinah sighed "we have to warn the pack before it's too late."
