Purity [Wip]

=Chapter 5= =Let's Explore=

Terrence told me things about the outside like what creatures are out here, and what places to avoid. We were walking into a forest and all I could hear was a orchestra of birds singing. Terrence seemed to catch on to their little tune quickly as he hummed what they sung. I stuck close to Terrence since the forest we're walking in got more thick with trees and sunlight became less common. "So..do you go outside a lot?" I question. "Why of course, Greenvale is full of wondrous things..plus going outside a lot is good for you" he answers with a chuckle. 

I look around to see a bunch of trees that stood taller than castles. I did want to try and climb one of the trees but I would be afraid of climbing down. We walked in the forest for awhile now, Terrence was collecting plants, I was blinded by how amazing everything was, and the that was basically it. Terrence eventually decide to walk back and ask if I wanted to go check out a "certain mountain".  I excitingly said yes. 

After a long walk back to the house to take a quick rest, I follow Terrence to that mountain. We reached a path that lead up the mountain. "Now, its very steep so I need you to be careful and take your time gettin' up..don't go running up there, got it?" Terrence says looking at me. I nodded and we both walked up the path. He was right about the steep bit about the mountain, the path we were walking was a mix of sand, dirt, and gravel. It felt like the more we climbed up the farther down we went. Reaching the top the first thing I spot was this giant hole in the mountain. Terrence kneels down and looks in the hole. "Whats with the hole?" I questioned.
"Well its where Humans toss Monsters, sick animals, and hybrids" he said lighting up a lantern. 

Terrence holds the lantern and slowly lowers it into the hole. "Elk corpse..looks like it was devoured..from what I'm seeing it happened recently" he says blowing out the lantern and latching it to his belt. "Do you..always do that? Like..investigate what falls into the hole..?" I said tilting my head. He nods "Sometimes you might see a monster or two in there running around..I was hoping to see a monster they tossed in here recently" he sighs. Terrence looks in the distance then gasps I was frightened at what he was looking at but I slowly turned my head to see what it was anyway.
