Purity [Wip]

=Chapter 6= =Brutal Fest=

I saw a town with a castle, it was all smokey and some bits of it were on fire, but the worst of it was all the dead bodies that could be easily seen. "What in the world happened?" Terrence said to himself quickly sitting up. I wondered the same. He tells me to follow him. We slid down the dirty and rocky path of the mountain with haste. I quickly follow him behind a tree. Terrence in shock examines the scene. "I knew something like this would happen" he whispered to me. I look at him and tilt my head in confusion. He sighs "Brutal-Fest..it's like..a mini war but its mainly how what side gets more kills.." he explains. 'From what I see..humans have won again" he continues. 

"This fest..is it common" I question. He nods. "Sometimes they capture surviving monsters and toss them into that hole in the mountain we were just at" he says walking away from the war aftermath I followed. Walking away you were still able to hear roars and screams like it was a haunting nightmare I quickly walked with Terrence back home. While we walked Terrence tells me more about 'Brutal-Fest'. Only certain parts of what he told me were actually interesting. One being that your able to tell when Brutal-Fest happens when your here the roar of a 'Forest Strider' which is a extremely tall and skinny monster that has moss, trees, and vines growing off it though such a beast doesn't join the mini war for "Fairness reasons". 

Terrence begs that I never join Brutal-Fest because he doesn't want me killed. I never saw myself as much of a fighter so I wouldn't join either way. We made it back home. I could hear chimes ringing as the wind blows. We enter Terrence's home and we both sit down and relax. "How about we cook something up, i'm sure your starving seeing as you didn't eat for a few days being here" Terrence suggests. "Yeah..I am getting hungry.." I sighed as I hear my stomach growl. "Alright, Ill go get some food for us from the-" he looks outside, most likely at the destroyed town. "..mm..maybe not there but Ill see what I can do" he says stretching. "So Ill be home alone?" I question with a bit of sadness in my voice. He nods "Ill only be gone for a bit, you can hang around in the house and explore a bit outside..just don't travel to far from home" he warns. "Got it..I promise you I wont get into trouble" I said with a brave smile. He chuckles and heads for the door.
