it's all donghyuck was, exhausted.
it was the type of exhaustion that wouldn't go away with sleep no matter how hard you tried. it was the exhaustion of himself. donghyuck was going wherever his black leather doctor martens took him. his eyes wandering over the view surrounding him at this lonesome 2am.

...

donghyuck found himself on the rooftop of a convenience store he stumbled upon. this wasn't the most legal idea he had but it ought to do. the convenience store wasn't that high, only 2 stories, but it was high enough for him to catch a glimpse of his city. there was nobody in the store so he climbed the back ladder towards the rooftop. he truly admired the night, it was made for people who can't breathe at day, something the night helped wash away. breathing slowly, he shut his eyes, taking in all of his surroundings. thats when he felt a tear slide down his cheek, he really doesn't feel anything anymore. that's one of the reasons he's exhausted, because it's so tiring to feel nothing but everything at the same time. donghyuck has spent his entire life making people happy when all they ever did was leave. sadly, it was unavoidable. donghyuck hated feeling like a burden, it's one of his biggest fears, making people worry about him. yeah he never took liking into that.

time was flying by i guess because before donghyuck knew it, he felt a hand on his shoulder and thats when he thought,"oh shit this is it i'm gonna spend the rest of my life in a prison cell.", but it wasn't that. hyuck turned around swiftly, about to apologise, but was shut down quickly.

"it's okay, theres no need to be sorry for anything.", said the mysterious man.

there it was, hyuck felt like a burden again, he was weak.

"i-i'm seriously sorry for being such a burd-", he was cut off ,again, by the man.

"you'll never be a burden, okay?", donghyuck felt safe when those words came out of the others mouth, but he couldn't let him know how weak he really was.

"haha no it's alright i never felt like a burden thats silly-", and again, cut off.

"your eyes speak louder than your words.", and that is what it took donghyuck to completely shatter and break down. he had never felt so weak before, this man had seen through his facade and he didn't know wether he loved or hated it. it's like he was breaking down because he was saved, but also because he showed a stranger how weak he was. the man saw through donghyuck like he was transparent, donghyucks eyes always screamed for help.

hyuck was crying so much he could feel himself hyperventilating and his breath being cut off short, it was happening, the panic attack. soon after he felt a big pair of warm arms wrap around his cold and fragile body.

"nothing will ever happen to you while i'm here.", the words that the man just said echoed through donghyucks ears. it was so warm and made him feel more than safe. not long after that the sleep deprivation caught up to donghyuck and hit him like a bat. he had passed out in a strangers arms on the rooftop of a beaten down convenience store at 2am. crazy, right?
