- Saba's POV -
I wake up to King lightly snoring. One of his arms is wrapped around my waist and the other is underneath my neck, his hand dangling off the edge of the bed. I wasn't intending to spend the night with him but he wouldn't stop begging me and telling me he wanted to hold me as he slept. So I gave in. Only when he promised me, it was just sleeping and no funny business. Not gonna lie, it was nice having him hold me as I slept. A little weird, seeing as I've been single most of my life and have never slept next to anyone before, but it was quite sweet. I gently lift his arm and get up from the bed. I look down and notice I'm not wearing my work clothes I fell asleep in. I sigh and rolled my eyes, knowing that he changed me again. I'm wearing a quite long button up shirt that I'm assuming is his. My stomach growls and I make my way downstairs.
This house is fucking huge! Took me three wrong turns until I ended up finding the kitchen. I look around and see all the ingredients for pancakes. I love pancakes! I search the cabinets for the perfect pan, finding it and placing it on the stove. Getting it nice and hot before preparing the ingredients. I begin mixing the flour and some water together, humming while I add the sugar. I hear someone clear their throat and I panic, turning around quickly to find a man standing in the doorway staring at me.
"Who the fuck are you?" He asks angrily, glaring at me.
"S..Saba." My name being the only word I could muster under his intense gaze. His expression softens but not much.
"Back off Rom. She's with the boss." I hear a more familiar voice and feel myself relax when Noah strolls past the angry man and plops down on a stool at the island. "That's Romney. Don't mind him, he always has a stick up his ass." Noah looks over his shoulder at him. Romney glares and flips him off, pulling a cigarette out of his shirt pocket and sitting down at the table before lighting it. Noah laughs and turns back to me. "So what you making buttercup?" I giggle at the nickname while picking up where I left off.
"Pancakes." I smile.
"Hope you're making some for everyone cause I love pancakes!" His eyes light up. "So did you think about what we talked about last night?" I nodded. "And?"
"I'm gonna give him a fighting chance." I smile and finish mixing all the ingredients together. I turn around to pour the first pancake onto the pan when I hear a flirty whistle behind me.
"Damn! That's a thick ass woman right there! Cooking breakfast for me sweetie? Is it my birthday?" I look over my shoulder and see the twins, Jackson and Jensen, I learned from Noah, walk into the room and stare at me. Suddenly a very angry looking King appears behind him and the kitchen grows eerily silent. Noah is trying so hard not to laugh, Romney is smirking and Jensen is taking a few steps away from his brother. Jackson reads the expression on my face and sighs. "He's right behind me isn't he?" I smile and nod. He turns around quickly and tries to play it off. "Morning boss! Sleep well?" King rolls his eyes and slaps him upside the head.
"Watch your mouth Jackson. You're lucky I woke up in a good mood or I'd cut your tongue out for talking about my girl like that." Jackson whines and saunters over to the table sitting down with his brother and Romney. I giggle to myself and turn back to the stove but feel two arms wrap around my waist and a low growl in my ear. King leans down and kisses my neck before whispering. "And I ought to spank you for walking down here dressed like this." I shudder and try to focus on not burning the pancakes. "I'll let it slide for now, but just so you know, this ass..." I feel his hand grab and squeeze my right cheek. "Is for my eyes only. Understood?" I nod and flip the pancake over. Beautifully golden on one side. "Good girl." He kissed my neck one more time before letting me go and walking over to sit at the table. "Noah, what did Demetri say about the fight?"
