Cancer Support Group

“I'm Isaac.

I’m seventeen,

And it looks like I have to get surgery in a couple of weeks, after which I’ll be blind”

Support Group featured a cast of rotating characters,

In various stages of Cancer-driven unwellness

         Why did the cast rotate?

A side effect of dying.

I thought we were in a church basement,

But we were literally in the heart of Jesus.

This was the place where our lives crossed paths in loops and knots

We fell in love the way you fall asleep,

          Slowly, then all at once.

Meeting him was fate

Becoming his friend was a choice

But falling in love with him

Was beyond my control.
